I'm glad they finally convinced him to drop down to his natural weight...should be one of a fight. Could Hendo get KO'd for the 1st time in his career?
I am curious if he will be wearing the PRIDE belt again....
I hope he is.

Fedor Vs Hong Man Choi set for NYE according to sherdog.
Fedor is a joke right now. Seriously. Read the forums and blogs and the dude is a punchline. At least Zulu was 2-0 when he faced Fedor. This guy is 1-0.
Reality is greater than Legacy. Fedor is being managed like a boxer.
Ugh...![]()
Fedor issue is such a complete mess

It's already confirmed that is who he is fighting on NYE in Japan. I don't think they announced the organization that is going to host it, but it's not M-1 -- Fedor is being leased out.
It looks like a very interesting fight, should be tough and not a can.![]()

Funny read from Jess Holland regard the Fedor fight
Others possibly on that card...
Hayato “Mach” Sakurai vs TBA
Tatsuya Kawajiri vs TBA
Hidehiko Yoshida vs TBA
Shinya Aoki vs TBA
Choi is a joke...he's been good in K-1, but he's gonna get swarmed like Zulu did.
The funny thing is...M-1 is so jacked up there is still so much uncertainty.
Looks like Fedor vs Arona might be the fight now…Choi fights 3 wks prior in the K-1 tourny (could fight as many as 3 times that night)…
List of fighters that could be on the card… yea…
Fedor Emelianenko
Joachim Hansen
Ricardo Arona
Gilbert Melendez
Luiz Azeredo
Aoki Shinya
Kazuo Misaki
TatsuyaKawajiri
Hayato "Mach" Sakurai
Mitsuhiro Ishida

Well, it's supposed to be put on by the group that got fired by Zuffa in Japan (that's the latest rumor) -- or the people with ties the (? can't remember the name, but the Japanese Mafia) was is Yakuza?
Oh my god...Oleg "The Russian Bear" Taktarov is coming back?! He was one of my favorite fighters in the old days but I don't think he'll be able to hang the new generation of fighters.
Koscheck v. Hazelett
Fitch v. (Gono is what they offered, but he is trying to fight Karo)
Now, the rumor is Yoshida. Fedor just needs to get some good leg kicks in....
Edit: http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles.asp?n_id=10125, looks like Yoshida is fighting in March. It's still a possibility, but it's less likely

-Josh Koscheck vs Dustin Hazelett
-Jon Fitch vs Gono??
I'm on the Hazelett bandwagon...especially if he's fighting "Kos"...
and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they give Gono to Fitch...the UFC clearly wants Gono to lose...they didn't expect him to beat McCrory. Fitch will dominate him...
Fedor vs Yoshida is an easier fight for Fedor than Choi IMO, but the uproar wouldn't be as bad because the "freak" factor isn't involved.
thats a good point...
UFN 12 -- if that is the final card Goooooood, looks like the best UFN so far.
Yoshida is still fodder in my opinion.
I believe that Kos can beat Hazelett.
2 matchups for New Year's Eve...
Hayato Sakurai vs Hidehiko Hasegawa
Shinya Aoki vs Gesias “JZ Calvan” Calvancanti
Aoki vs JZ is the F'n $hit...![]()
UFC 81
-David Heath vs Andre Gusmao
Hate to see Heath again, but glad to see the UFC signed Gusmao from the IFL...
nice. i loved JZ's KO vs Ribeiro, but other than that i'd like to see more from him. then you could probably consider him a top 3 LW IMO. This would be a huge win. Aoki is the real deal but looks like he's still in high school. lol
oops...looks like the UFC was getting punked on the Gusmao stuff...he's staying with the IFL...
