Wow, I didn't realize that 9 year olds could go bar hopping in Boston...
You barely escaped the last two games against clubs quarterbacked by the likes of A.J. Feeley and Kyle Boller... both of which won't come close to ever sniffing Canton after their careers are over. Count your blessings.
This could very well be true but the Pats success this season is hardly a barometer for handing out "best ever" awards since most teams would not continue to score touchdowns with a three TD lead as the Pats have done against lesser opponents this year. I know the "running up the score" thing has been beaten to death already and it's ultimately the fault of opposing defenses for not stopping the Patriots, but it is quite possible that Tony Romo could also have 41 TDs after 12 games, Peyton Manning as well if he'd had Harrison all year. However, I'm reluctant to say that Brady is the best ever because of how much better he looks with talent at WR. If he was truly the greatest ever, there would have been no dispute last year that they were better than San Diego, and he would have been able to ice the Colts with that 21-3 lead. But he didn't, and his skyrocketing stats this year are 100% due to Welker, Stallworth, and most importantly Randy Moss. The difference between Brady and Manning right now is that Brady has WRs that catch his passes, Manning throws passes so that his WRs can catch them. I think Manning has a definite edge when it comes to putting the ball between the numbers and threading the needle.Best QB to EVER play the game.
Randy Moss definitely has some incredible gifts and catches some balls that look uncatchable, but he is not far and away the best in the league. If you asked me who I want on my team between Moss, Terrell Owens, and a healthy Marvin Harrison, I would be hard pressed to pick one of them without careful deliberation.Best WR in the game.
I agree with you on this one.Best shutdown corner in Samuel.
Probably true with the LB corps, except their age was exploited last night when McGahee dragged them forward for a first down multiple times. With Colvin done for the year, they were exposed in the Ravens game. We will see how they adapt to his loss and how it pans out for them. As for their D line, they have some good players on the D line but they are currently tied for 7th in the league in sacks.Best Defensive line and linebacker core.
I don't even have to refute this one. If they were top 10 running backs when involved in their offense, then they would be involved that much. Maroney has yet to prove . He's been outplayed by every other RB selected in the 06 draft.A top 10 running back in the nfl when he is involved consistently in the offense. Best backup running back in the league when he gets involved often as well.
Probably true, but that doesn't stop him from being an arrogant . Yeah, I know your comeback will be "a with three rings"... but does that make him less than a . Lindsay Lohan may be a famous actress but that doesn't stop people from calling her a stupid cokehead .Best coach in the league.
Like I said during the game, are you saying he's the best because he was kicking 7 PATs a game? How many game winning field goals has he kicked this year? So he makes some good clutch kicks in the RCA Dome last year... but that's a dome. If you think the Colts are at a disadvantage for playing in freezing weather and snow, what makes you think your unproven kicker isn't going to fold under pressure. Just because he wears a Patriots jersey does not make him the next Adam Vinatieri or pre-choking Mike Vanderjagt.Best kicker in the league.
The stats certainly show that, but the last two games have proven both to be vulnerable. Especially the defense since Willis McGahee chode bloaded the out of your team for three quarters. The Pats achilles heel is going to be their defense down the stretch, because if a team with a good running and passing game can establish a running threat and force the Pats to load the box, the Pats will get burned badly. Currently their defense is ranked 6th in both passing and rushing, and third overall behind the Steelers and Colts. Both teams the Pats could be playing in the playoffs.Best overall offense and defense in the NFL.
The way I see it, I am watching a team that has played good football, had a great shot at 16-0 (but not at 19-0), and is three HUGE chokes by opponents in its three closest games from being 9-3 right now. Like I said, count your blessings, and if the Pats play the way they played tonight, they will get rocked by the Colts in the playoffs. Even in Foxborough. It's not like they can up the field to give themselves an advantage now since it's turf. And you can go ahead and keep the "cold weather" card in your hand. See last year's Super Bowl and the Week 10 game against San Diego after Manning adapted to his weak ass backup receiving corps. You should fear the out of a healthy Colts team. You all should be proud that you are watching greatness right in front of you.
Bottom line, you're a stupid homer troll and everyone knows it.
I have never prescribed to the whole "they deserved to win/lose" thing. If you scored more than the other team, you deserved to win, if not you don't, period. That's as bad as those Suns fans who drop the "the Suns technically won" card.
That being said, The Patriots did exactly what championship teams do. You find a way to win even though you may have not been the best team that night. The Ravens had a lead, then got flustered and NE smelled blood and took advantage, exactly what you are supposed to do when you are trying to win a le.

Neither could I....
this was freakin awesome....

talk about your all-time meltdowns. They had it in the bag at least three times. They just gave the Pats too many chances. Congrats to the Pats for overcoming what looked like their first loss. They are truely a great team at every aspect of the game.
Says the NE fan who only comes out of the woodwork after the games are over and blows up at a fan of his own team.
seriously, rodney harrison is the most over-sensitive little in NFL history.
So... apparently the Pats' Achilles heel is winter weather?
Whew... lucky for them that they're the Tampa Bay Patriots, and won't have to play two games outdoors in Massachusetts in January to get to the Super Bowl.
.
You serious?
That's pretty big of you Mono.
I'll give you props for your honesty.
Agreed.
I'd rather have Mono posting than that bufoon.
Did anyone catch Randy Moss's post game??
That mother er is coming out of his s and he's one arrogant son of a . Calling out the Ravens for not "having done anything"? , they've won a Super Bowl, what the have you done???
Brady best ever??? Nah. He is definetly a good QB, but a product of a better Team. Had Peyton been with the Pats these past few years, you are looking at at least 4 or 5 Superbowls. You put Brady with the Colts these past few years, you are looking at 0 SB win in his career.
And Rodney Harrison is a ing , lol. I can't wait to see a Marion Barber stiff arm on his ass again.....that of course is IF, the pats make it to the Super Bowl. . . If they do.
Agreed 100%.
That rematch is going to be the !!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait . . . can't wait.
I'm gonna break my self imposed silence for a few moments today just to say that I've calmed down a bit since last night. I'm thinking that the Patriots are just in a slump, something that every team will go through. The Colts went through it last year, the Steelers did the year before. The Patriots always seemed to get their ass kicked by Miami once a year during their previous three Super Bowl runs.
So I'm not worried anymore. However, if they don't pull their head out of their ass this week, the Steelers will murder them.
Alright, the silence will continue shortly.
I think it's funny how the Cowboys' fans already have their Super Bowl ticket punched.
it's not punched yet but i really like their chances
As do I. A healthy Packers team next time around will beat their overrated asses. Their D sucks and it cant pressure on a consistent basis. Tony Romo is a very good qb and the Cowboys O is nice and all but its going to have serious problems against the Pats D. They cant stop the Pats O while the Pats are able to shut them down. IF that happens to be the superbowl (assuming the cowboys somehow get in) it will be over after 3 quarters. Pats would win 41-10 with no problems.
The Pats D??Pluuulease your defense is being exposed more and more each week. Anytime Feeley and Boller can light you guys up with no problem. I seriously doubt you guys beat the Colts again. The Colts have a MUCH better defense than the Pats. I expect a Colts-Cowboys SuperBowl. We moved the ball against you guys and we didn't even have Todd Heap. Imagine what Owens and Romo will do.
I don't really know why I'm answering you, but here it is, during the game, I'm watching the game, then after the game, I post on the internet(on other boards and here also, and mostly I post only if something irritates me)
Thank you. (and for calling out mono, I have my reasons.)
you can go back to your dirty prayers now
we can imagine that, actually we saw it.
Regarding your team, we played a TOUGH team that said the game was their SUPERBOWL.
Again, congrats for a great game.
