Vaughn traveled from New Jersey this summer to camp in Austin, and he left with an offer.
“Texas has been my dream school for a couple of years now. The environment, the city, the overall program — it’s a school I like a lot. I like what they’re doing with defensive ends too.”

My initial guess is this solidifies annual games with A&M, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
The question I have is how this affects the future big non-conference games that are already scheduled:
• Ohio State (2026)
• Michigan (2027)
• @ Notre Dame (2028)
• Notre Dame (2029)
One report had the following quote:
"SEC teams are required to schedule at least one additional high-quality non-conference (game) from the ACC, B1G, Big XII or Notre Dame."
This is fantastic!
And if we could keep that big non conference game, INCREDIBLE viewing.
We would only be playing 2 rotten onion preseason games.
NOW: get rid of the useless conference championship.
Not gonna happen but I wish:
8 team playoffs; SEC schools might have a real chance of not getting in (ie you gotta be good in the regular season Alabama/Mississippi) * 8 teams probably never happen again.
BONUS-
If ATM actually keeps their tough out of conf opponents, only plays 2 sofa games, and finally plays Georgia… They will be crying about a good 5-7 season instead of 8-4!
