I KNOW THIS MAN!!!
70 degrees here today! These are the days sometimes I worked day shift.
I KNOW THIS MAN!!!
Flo, you know she really only wants your baton!!!
I like my car better than I would a squad car.
If I wanted that, I'd come right out and ask.
How you gonna be a cop driving your regular car? Or do you just want a badge and a gun so you can have it?
I doubt it Maa. She wants a gun.
Just to have it.
Though the idea of playing cop in my Beetle is kind of funny.
Your best bet is to be in crime lab. That was you can still have a gun and badge, just you don;t have to get your hands dirty. And you can still drive your little Beetle.
You can work in the crime lab and have a gun? Don't you still have to be a peace officer?
I'd have to see icky things doing that job, though. No thanks.
Are you kidding? That sounds like fun!!
SilBlack is used to seeing icky things. She wakes up to me every morning.
It kinda depends on the area you are in, and the departmental rules. And If the department can afford to use the Patrolman's firearms for security at a crime scene. Also there are some police officers who carry weapons, have badges, and make arrest, but at the same time are full-time CSI. But If that all you are qualified for, you are right, they spend 8 hours a day in a lab and that is it. But you do have to be qualified to fire a departmental weapon if I'm not mistaken even if you are a civilian worker.
Are there civilian CSI at your department?
But your brain is still mostly inside your skull, right? There aren't chunks of grey matter on the wall behind you?
In my precinct there are 3 or 4 if I'm not mistaken. And we have 1 full time uniformed Police CSI. You interested in a forensics career SB20?
Yea, you can say that.
you're going to have to lay off the dope then.
......and not the one that wears glasses. could help though.
Now here I know that officers who work CSI are paid at a higher scale than Civilians, and they get better benefits. And of course can make arrest.
C'mon Funt. Stop being so girly all the time....![]()
True. Do you know how much civilians start off at? Just curious.
Don't quote me on this SB but here I think it's around 30k. Like I said don't quote me. My advice to you is become a sworn officer, spend a year or two within your department, then apply for CSI. That way you get regular officers starting salary, which here is 42k, benefits, the whole nine. Then when you apply and get the CSI position I think it;s like 55k if I;m not mistaken. Check with your local police station and ask them if they hire civilian CSI in your area. If they do it could be more than 30k out there. I'm going to double check with the lady who does civilian work with us for you on the starting pay.
I'm not girly at all about gore...
as long as the blood and guts I'm seeing aren't real.
