Are you sure it was cheaper to pay Jimmer to leave and pay Ray to stay than it would have been to just pay Jimmer to stay and keep their second round pick and leave Ray in Sac? Looks like they may have been willing to pay MORE to have Ray and get rid of Jimmer. Keeping Jimmer, and their second round pick, seems like would have been cheaping out. Discuss.

Oh, and Ray was 3 assists, 1 turnover, 1\2 shooting in the N B A the other night.

They signed Jimmer cos they knew Ray is nothing special as a shooter, tbh. KA and Simmons both sucked in preseason and they were forced to keep Butler. But had they also audibled McCallum out, and kept Jimmer, they'd be better off. I don't think they realized how buttery McCallum's game was and what they had with Jimmer.
One could see it that way; but I don't think Jimmer was gonna stay in Sac regardless of RM. In any event, Sac realized RM is crap. SA might have figured that out when they saw they were willing to trade him so cheap.
So Sac realized Ray was crap, but they were mistaken with Jimmer? Pick a side of the fence.
At the end of the day he's failed to stick with four different franchises and remains unclaimed in the DLeague despite some very good numbers. At a certain point Jimmer and his fans will have to accept those realities.

The call-ups window doesn't start til I don't remember which day in January. I think it's soon if it's not already starting.
Call ups have been possible all season. Ten day contracts become possible on Jan 10th.
That's conventionally when call-ups occur. Their had been four in the entire d-league as of some days ago (and Jimmer had been one of them).
I wish Jimmer the best of luck in securing one of those ten day deals. Ten days of NBA pay is more than a full season of DLeague pay.
