In 'Tremendous Rebuke' of Trump Appointee, Federal Judge Bars US Media Agency Head From Interfering in News Coverage

    "Michael Pack <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

has repeatedly and intentionally violated the First Amendment rights of VOA journalists."

President Donald Trump's appointed head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media is

barred from making any further editorial or personnel decisions

following a series of injunctions issued by a federal court late Friday,

Chief U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell
    ruled in favor of

five USAGM executives who were fired or suspended in August at the direction of CEO Michael Pack,

who took the helm of the agency in June and promptly
dismissed several career officials in what was called a "Wednesday night massacre."

Current and former USAGM employees applauded the ruling, with chief strategy officer Shawn Powers tweeting that Pack "has repeatedly and intentionally violated the First Amendment rights" of journalists at the agency.

The five former employees sued to stop

Pack, a close associate of former White House adviser and Breitbart News executive Steve Bannon,

from interfering in the editorial affairs of Voice of America (VOA), Radio Free Asia, and other broadcasters which operate under the USAGM.

    The lawsuit was filed after

Pack opened an investigation into VOA's chief White House reporter, Steve Herman,

    over unspecified concerns that

    he displayed an anti-Trump bias.

Pack and his mafiya must be fired by Biden and USAGM restored to its non-politicized status.

you think that's all a president does.

Also Mitch is blocking every relevant bill.

    “I don’t have a crystal ball,

but I do know what people on Capitol Hill, Republicans, are saying to each other.

And that is, they think he is mad.

Not all of them, but many, many of them do, particularly in the Republican Senate.

And as time goes on, and as these Republicans realize that

throwing in their lot with Donald Trump is going to be increasingly a dangerous business,

as we go through this 60 days and they’ve already started to conclude this —

as craven as some of them have been about taking on Donald Trump.”

That's making the assumption that Trump would even get that far. I don't think he does. I dont' think it's a stretch by any means to say that the RNC isn't exactly enamored with how Donald's actions are painting the party. If/when someone like Ted Cruz decides its time to stab Donald in the back I think they'd have no problem getting paired up with the donors willing to back them.

I see few signs that the GOP is anywhere close to repudiating DJT or pushing forth a successor. I doubt any of those people will have established fandom on the scale of Trump, none will have the head start.

Theoretically, Trump could threaten a third party candidacy running with Ivanka. He'll have leverage if he lives.

At the moment, sure. Red team's hides are freshly chapped. I think the picture looks different if we fast forward a couple of years, past the midterms, and more republicans are willing to think in terms of who has the best chance to win in '24 as opposed to avenging Donald for the (mythical) fraud of '20.

No doubt, and certainly something republicans will need to worry about as Donald will undoubtedly have a faction of loyal followers. I just suspect that the number of republicans who simply want to win the next race will be larger than the number that is more concerned about loyalty to the horse that just lost the last one.

Deep down, I think there are plenty of republicans in the party establishment who are hoping that Donald's legal troubles remove him from the equation entirely so that it never has to come to this.

the r’s have spent decades scaring the stupids into submission. Trump is the logical extension of that effort.

They used the racist birther tea party evangelical types to gain power back in 2010. At that moment the idea of compromise was dead. The pursuit of raw power was in full effect. That bloc is the bloc that wins them elections. They now have allowed morons from that bloc to actually win elected offices. That cork is not going back in the bottle.

there were 16 different candidates they could have chosen to pass their tax cuts in 2016. Trump won out of that pile because there was no low too low.

that’s today’s Republican Party. It’s the party of people like spurtacular and chris who have taken L’s every single day their entire lives. Trump was a pushback at all the people they hate. In many cases, it was their first wins as adults. It didn’t matter if they had nothing, he represented punishing all the people they hate themselves for being afraid of, and who they blame for their failures.

that ain’t going nowhere. It was cultivated. Trump just doesn’t give a about anyone but himself. He’s going to be all over the media for as long as the piece of is alive, he’s going nowhere.
