Yeah, I wonder if WR Devon Allen making a quick decision after his official on October 6th will make any difference on how things proceed with Hunter.
Hunter could also make an official visit to Texas. If Texas offers and Hunter makes an official, you have to like Texas' chances. Hunter and Raulerson are close.

It's an interesting dynamic. I like Allen's speed better, but Hunter and Allen are pretty close talent wise. Hunter had an excellent performance at The Opening, so we know what he can do against elite compe ion.
I don't think Hunter is close to making a decision. I'd give Allen a week after his visit, and then bring in Hunter for an official visit and an offer.
I think there's room for both. The 2014 WR depth after Cannon and Joe isn't good.

Quotes from 2014 OL Demetrius Knox after the New Mexico game (24/7):
“It was the best college visit I’ve ever had,” Knox told Hookem.com. “When I stepped out on the field I got chills. It was just crazy, 100,000 fans just for a Texas versus New Mexico game. The cannon did freak me out though. It definitely scared me a little.”
“We got to talk to the coaches after the game,” explained Knox. “They treated us like family. I even got to watch game film with Coach (Major) Applewhite and he explained their offense to me.”
“They did good,” he said. “They have a lot to work on, but who doesn’t? I think they are going to be a great team in these up and coming years.”
“They're definitely my number one,” Knox said of Texas. “No one is touching them. My friend Jake Raulerson keeps telling me to commit, but I’m still not going to make a choice during the season.”
Quotes from OL/DL Andrew Billings after his visit to Austin this weekend (24/7):
“A lot,” Billings said. “It really helped them a lot.”
“The game was the best part. There were a lot of people there,” Billings said. “It was better than I thought it would be. It was a great atmosphere, even though they were only playing New Mexico.”
“He (Billings' father) liked it a lot and kept saying how much he liked it,” Billings said. “He really liked talking to Mack Brown. He was real impressed with Coach Brown and what he had to say.”
“Overall I liked what they (the Texas OL) did,” he said. “With the rotation they had, that was alright with me. They were aggressive, which I liked. I think Coach Searels is pretty close to getting them where he wants them.”
“Yes,” Billings said. “They'd (Billings' parents) like for me to go to a place like Texas.”

Update on S Marcell Harris from an anonymous source (24/7):
“He’s still been talking about it (the official visit to Texas),” said a source close to his recruitment. “He had a really, really good time. Everyone enjoyed themselves and they all think a lot of Texas. It really helped.”
“Let’s just say it alleviated some minor concerns,” the source said. “Nothing major at all, but any parent has concerns about sending their kid halfway across the country. His mom is a huge factor in his decision, so for Texas to sell her is big. Real big. It doesn’t sound like she has any problems with Texas now.”
“Obviously, it’s been Florida and Texas for a while now,” said the source. “But now you could say its Texas and Florida, if you know what I mean. The longer it plays out, the better for Texas. Marcell is on board. The family is on board. It’s just making sure that the Horns are the right decision over the Gators and that’s not easy. They all like a lot of things about Florida too, just like they do about Texas.”

Time to pack up and go full force after Priest Willis. I think we've had our best chance with him from the start considering that he has always spoke of Texas as a favorite.
Need another reason to root against USC?

i'll be shocked if he doesn't go to Tennessee, which has been the thought for quite a while now from those around him.
Tough for the kid. He and K Nick Rose have made the kickoff team the best it's been in a looooooong time.
I haven't seen any of this seasons games, but has Demarco Cobbs really been as bad as I've read? Bascially every report I've read says that he has been the weak link on the defense. Any truth to that? Any chance that we might get to see Tevin Jackson soon?
Kermit posted this video of a depressed Arkansas fan in another thread. I couldn't watch for more than 30 seconds or so:

I haven't been examining film like a coach or anything but I haven't seen anything particularly bad. Haven't really noticed anything from him, Hicks is the one I always see making tackles.

"Gonna take some unofficial visits soon...Texas LSU A&M and some official visits at a later date Oregon USC and others"
Also tweeted on his knee:
I'm still upset that I can't play but i am blessed that my MRI came back negative...just healing a dislocated knee cap
I heard that someone painted a big burnt orenge X on the aggie billboard in Austin... Has anyone seen it yet?

Not mad at all that it was vandalized, but this was a pretty weak effort tbh. Wish it was more creative and slanderous.
all that work and risk of getting caught and that is best they could come up with? yeah, pretty weak.
