My prediction from a couple years ago stands:
Trump will be convicted on his first trial and would probably NOT see jail time on this first conviction…
HOWEVER
Once trump gets to his SECOND trial…the judge at this SECOND conviction will say;
”part of your conditions of avoiding prison in your FIRST conviction…was that you would obey the law and any other lawbreaking - would factor into your freedom…
since you did not STOP committing crimes and/or stop being prosecuted…
i cannot in good conscience allow you to remain free”
therefore- prison AFTER his second prosecution/conviction
but if merchan gives him some time at the greybar hotel- i wont be upset.
