Those two things are true but not perfectly correlated. Jimmer didn't work in the Spurs' system because he isn't a good enough spot-up shooter and is too ball dominant. The Austin Spurs use a similar system, but at least a few D-League teams tailor their systems to their personnel and not the parent club. That's where Jimmer can shine.

It's conflated nonsense. Jimmer smirked and clapped when a pass wasn't completed. It was to himself and not directed at Boban. At the time, all the ST trolls clung to that like a baby to a bottle. I was starting to buy into some of their cynicism. But then when I watched his preseason minutes again, I realized he played pretty sound.
