I don't know what else Burt needs to see. He's going to be a blocker first and foremost at Auburn, whereas he can be THE GUY at Texas. It's not often you see a skill player who doesn't want to touch the ball.
I think Swoopes biggest problem with the zone read in previous games was decisiveness. His reads and reactions were much quicker against Iowa St.

That's where I'm at as well.
He wasn't as assertive or decisive at first and it made him look really slow.
Maybe it's a family thing behind the scenes and he's torn.
If he needs to see something on the field, John Harris may be a 1,000 yard receiver this year as unbelievable as that sounds.
If only VY had Colt's work ethic
I'm down with Hutchins not starting.
Or you know....

Scout has a Kingsley Keke update.
Taylor Hamm from 247 Ag site -"The general consensus is both inside and outside that this team has no discipline on and off the field...."
Follows up by saying some negative things about Ags status with Daylon Mack, Kyler Murray, and Malik Jefferson after the train wreck last 3 games for them.
Kyler Murray, their top recruit, apparently went to Texas-OU as guest of OU then followed that up with official visit to OU for Kansas State game. Apparently he is planning on official to Oregon now. He and Daylon Mack and lynchpins to their recruiting classes so if they continue to look around will get interesting.
Hamm also just switched his crystal ball pick for Kris Boyd from Texas to Baylor. That's currently the only Baylor pick.
And there are three picks today for Malik to Texas (two by Bama writers and one by national writer JC Shurburtt).
Wickline should be the only offensive coordinator.
I hated the hire of Watson, but now I'm on board. His development of Swoops has been nothing short of incredible and I actually like the passing game. I get why we are making the passes we make but now I think we are starting to see the real passing game he has in mind for this offense. And to be honest, I love seeing the Texas QBs under center doing play action pass with a 5 to 7 step drops. That will go further in preparing our QBs for the NFL draft than tossing the ball 65 times a game like these spread offenses do.
I don't know how much influence Wickline has in the offense but I do know that the two are working well, the development is beyond what I would expect both in the oline and the QB.
I can't say enough about how well Swoops is throwing the ball, he is showing great touch on short passes and very good accuracy on deep passes.
Regarding Hamm and Baylor, Hamm said that Boyd "gushed" about Baylor during an interview a few days ago. Also said, that he don't think Boyd is a Charlie Strong type of kid. Not that he is a bad kid at all, but the discipline that Strong requires is/could be a problem. He don't expect Boyd to end up at A&M with all that he has heard the last few days. Finished off by saying, that people shouldn't be surprised if Hamm changes his Crystal Ball again.
Scout reporting Texas has offered 2016 LB DeMarco Boyd of Gilmer (brother of Kris):

Nice write-up on Swoopes:

Recent quote from QB Kai Locksley of Baltimore, MD (24/7):
“I haven’t officially come to that conclusion,” Locksley said of taking official visits. “I definitely brought it up to Coach Sanders and (area recruiter) Coach Sal (Sunseri) as well as my father. I may take an official to Texas, but I am not entirely sure of that yet."
Texas Monthly gets in on the A&M/Alabama postgame fun:

Meltdown time! Doesn't get much better than A&M, Baylor and OU in one week:

Nice.
I'm guessing Malik's future salary won't be anywhere close to that of a Good Burger employee.
Some Swoopes facts I came across:
-With 334 passing yards vs OU that was the most ever by a first time starter in UT/OU series history. Josh Heupel had the previous best with 311 in 1999
-With 384 yards of offense vs OU that was the most yards ever in UT/OU series history. Sam Bradford had the previous best in 2008
-Only 7 times in Texas history has a player posted at least 300 yards passing and 50 rushing yards in a game. Only Colt McCoy and Tyrone Swoopes have done it twice
-With 321 yards passing and 95 yards rushing vs Iowa St Swoopes became just the 3rd Longhorn ever to post at least 300/90 in a game
-Swoopes had at least 300 yards passing, and 50 rushing yards the last 2 games. 1st player in UT history with back to back 300/50 games (334/50 vs OU)
2016 LB DeMarco Boyd of Gilmer responds to his Texas offer (Inside Texas):
"My first offer is so special," said Boyd. "Just really excited. I've always liked Texas so this is great. I just need to keep working now."
"It's just a great feeling."
