I have an entire novel to read, a midterm to study for, and a 2000 word paper to write, but once I got past page one of this thread, I couldn't stop until I was caught up.

I too have ignorantly disregarded this thread for far too long...but boy am I glad I discovered its many joys.

This thread can be split up into distinct phases. The first was the "WTF" phase, where we were trying to figure out what the this troll was trying to say. This was a very short, but entertaining phase as we quickly realized that yes, this person actually called our team a utensil that is a combination of a spoon and a fork.

The second phase was us actually discussing sporks and extolling their many great uses and forms. We even got into the many different related utensils in the same family of utensils that the beloved spork is a part of (e.g. knork/k-nork, forkchops). I haven't decided whether or not this is the funniest part of the thread.

The last phase was when we really got rolling. We brilliantly incorporated our love for this awesome utensil with our intense love for our awesome Spurs, aka Sporks. This phase just confirmed over and over that ST-ers are, simply put, a community of geniuses.

Wow...this was great...just great. Thank you all and goodnight.

Good post but you missed the phase of the Spork craze where E20 was and still is jealous that he didn't start this thread, and covers up his Spork envy by raining on our parade.

This is a decent essay, but it lacks a true thesis statement and concluding paragraph. Keep working on it and resubmit for a better grade.

Also, where is your bibliography? I never received it.

    Police Probe Possible Spork Robbery
    By Associated Press
    10:07 AM EST, February 28, 2008

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Anchorage police have arrested a suspect in an armed robbery. Now they're trying to determine if the weapon involved was a spork -- a hybrid of a spoon and fork found at fast-food restaurants.

Police said a suspect tried to grab a man's watch on Monday night.

The victim said the assailant swung a pocketknife at him but four parallel scratches on the victim's side make police suspect the wound was administered with a spork.

Peter Albert, 52, was arrested a few blocks from the scene and charged with robbery. Police said Albert was intoxicated and carrying a small pocketknife as well as a backpack containing a fast food bag and sporks.

Albert is being held at the Anchorage jail with bail set at $5,000.
