And what a way to break the J.T.'s Dad's House curse... They've always lost when I come home to watch games.
The real story about the Colts this season is the offensive line... that is the key to the Colts success. How many times have you heard people say their team's QB could be as good as Manning if they played behind his line? It's something you really take for granted because players like Manning and Addai owe most of their success to good o line play.
No line, no running game. No running game, no play action game. No play action game, Colts are a lot more predictable and not nearly as explosive. But I don't look at this game and say that the defense got out of a funk... I look at this game and say that Brackett, Mathis and Wayne deserve a raise.
And what a way to break the J.T.'s Dad's House curse... They've always lost when I come home to watch games.
and I would just like to add...Come back soon, Bob!
haha STOP DOING THAT!
Let's hope that losing at LOS is the next curse to be broken.
The Colts defense minus Sanders can still make plays. They did at the end of the game. I miss Sanders the most in his run support, this is going to be worse than 2006 if they don't shut down the run soon. But the Colts offense just hasn't been the same minus three starters. And I would really like Charlie Johnson to be wearing another team's uniform before next Sunday.
At least Saturday is back!
And Santi is coming out of nowhere, it seems.
Pollack played well today...when he and Ugoh are back at full strength the line will look a lot better even if all the starters aren't in there. But when you look at the Colts running the ball this season they are going to the outside or relying on the stretch play way too much and that's all on a lack of confidence in the o line when trying to run between the tackles. It would be interesting to see the ratio of outside runs to runs up the middle by the Colts this season. I'd guess a 3:1 ratio in favor of outside runs.
Santi didn't really surprise me. He's got potential to be a good blocking and receiving combo TE like Dallas Clark.
Oh and that Reggie Wayne TD was too legit to quit... way better than his one hander against Oakland last year and maybe like 0.01% less cool than Marvin's falling out of bounds toe drag TD against the Patriots in 2006. Oddly enough both this game and that game ended with INTs by the other team...
our defense is just destroying them today!
Where has THIS D been?
what in the world was said to the team prior to the game???
If they played like this all the time, they'd be unstoppable!
these ers came ready to play today! Look at the closing speed on Bethea.
Is this the same team we've been trotting out for the last 4 weeks? What happened, huh?
and to think I'm not a rhodes fan...I may have to rethink that.
maybe that houston game woke them up. They need to start capitalizing on these short fields their getting.
#2 for Harrison today! It's good to see him back to his old self
