This is the NBA and the 1st 3 quarters dont mean ....its all about how you play in the 4th and the mavs are the worst 4th quarter team in the NBA, even worse than the Thunder
It was a good game to watch. Dallas played very well, and didn't seem intimidated one bit. They were just ground down. They played a collectively good team effort with balanced scoring. They'll make the playoffs. Don't know when the Lakers will lose their first, but we'll enjoy the perfect season while it lasts.
"meh" game for the Mavs. They did some nice things, but way too many turnovers and Dirk played terrible in relation to his ability. Part due to Lakers D, but he missed some shots he shouldn't have.
Everyone else played well except for Diop and Bass. I'd say Damp even had more of an imprint on the game than Bynum. Ariza was great for the Lakers. The defense on Kobe was solid but he is "unguardable" so what can you do, he will get his points.
Dirk on the other hand is confirming that he is a class below the "super elite" scorers in the league. It seems like the right defensive schemes ALWAYS limit his output. I dunno, maybe it was just a bad night, bt that's the impression I got tonight.
Just gotta bounce back I guess. @ CHicago will be difficult as well.
