The team was completely out of sync because Pop decided to mess with the chemistry. Spurs were rolling then he threw a wrench in the system. Either don't play Tim or start him and hope you can get a lead and rest him.
    +1

His minutes have been relatively low compared to other star players around the league. I don't get this move. Team was playing great and minutes haven't been a problem.

Pop getting way too conservative here, especially should have realized he was coming in to a viper's den tonight, raps having won 5 of 6 and playing at home.

Our two offseason pickups(Dice and Jefferson) are shooting a combined 2-10.

McDyess looks like he wants to go back to Detroit, or somewhere besides the spurs. The guy came out with no effort whatsoever, and I like the dude, but come on, he's just standing out there I can do that. And I got a metal knee.

How do you figure? Pop can't magically MAKE the Spurs make their shots, and the Spurs can't seem to buy a shot, with the exception of Tony. Shooting 35% isn't Pop's fault, it means either their having an off shooting night (which may change in the second half) or they're really tired and/or forcing shots.
Had he started Tim I think the starting defense would've been a lot better, Toronto wouldn't have the confidence they were playing with (when Timmy came in cold). Starting Tim and taking him out at the 5 minute mark instead of the usual 2 minute mark to give him more rest I believe would've been the difference.

If he starts Tim in the 2nd half I'll know that he regretted his decision of not starting Tim the first time around.

Not only did Pop bench Tim, he also benched Blair and put in Dice in the starting lineup, screwing up all the good play Dice made for the Spurs while coming off the bench. That is three negatives.

Good point, Chief. Pop should have realized Dice is a player that needs his comfort zones, and its clear one of those is coming off the bench.

Should have kept starting Blair, I don't get why Blair gets switched out.

What? He didn't start Blair either? Pop should know better than that. Wow.

That's pretty disappointing imo and surprising.

Actually, from what I see, he's really trying too hard and really looks uncomfortable out there & doesn't know anything other than the high pick and roll in the spurs' offense.

He should know better. He has been setting screens for the best off-screen player currently in the NBA when he was in Detroit, Rip Hamilton, I don't get how he does not get the playbook 30 games into the season. We need those screens to get players open to drive to the basket.

Early back2backs are stupid. Whatever happens in this game, win or lose, this game tells us nothing about our team.

But , I wish Tim started. It'd probably be a blowout the other direction if he had, and we'd have rested Timmy in the end rather than in the beginning. Hopefully we can gut this one out, ugh.

Don't worry guys. The 2nd Half is going to be a whole other game for the Spurs. At least, that is the way they should be looking at it. 14 points is nothing with a whole half to play, especially against the Raptors.

You're right, he really does look uncomfortable out there. And the crappier he plays, I think the more insecure he feels about his role on the team.

He even stated in an interview that he prefers to come off the bench and is more comfortable there. Then Pop starts him. lol...
