Nice pick off by Beltre. I'm hoping he has the jitters behind him. Despite giving up the home run, he didn't look too bad.
I'm confident with Maddox and a little more experience behind his belt that he will be a guy we can keep around.
It was questionable throwing him to the lions tonight but he has some great stuff and has made a few hitters look silly in only 3 innings

I'd take him anyday over Rich Harden. When Harden goes out there its almost as if he's on the other team and we have to overcome his dismal performances.
On the flip side, I think it was huge that we chased Kazmir this early. He had some great stuff tonight, but that one mistake to Guerrero changed everything

If we can win a game where a rookie started his first game on the road against the closest division rival it would be a big win. One thing we know now about Beltre is he will fight. He had 1st and 3rd 1 out and had Hendricks and the human pitch taker and got out unscathed.
