Magic are going to need to find their offense moving forward, or at least find out who they are going to run it through.

Pierce is an awesome player, but he always has that look on his face that makes you wanna hit him in the head with a 2x4.

Pierce playing some really good D out there, fast hands.
When healthy he is really an underrated defender. Kobe had 48 minutes of problems in 08 between him and Posey.

You are seeing Dwight's limitations right now. He is still an elite player, but he has to grow up in a hurry mentally and offensively if he wants to accomplish anything. Especially mentally.
What makes you think he will? His post game is atrocious for a big with his athletic ability, and if losing in the Finals doesn't motivate you, what will?

often said player X cant win a le as teams best player.

But what about this Boston team? What a great TEAM. No top 10 players on this team but they move the ball so well and play great defense.

It's alright; I counted them out too. I've never seen a team turn it on so well in the postseason after months of lackluster play.

boston's gonna win another le. can't see the lakers beating the celtics, LA's too pussy. And boston has the defense to shut down phoenix's offense.

He has shown small flashes of improving. A lot of it is mental. But I am not sure he can make a quantum type leap offensively. But he can do things to become better and that would be enough.

You cant teach touch. You either have or you don't. His footwork is poor and relies totally on his athletic ability.
I can understand not having touch. It's the footwork thing that bothers me.

DAMN that was a hard foul by Sheed! Nice playoff foul.

Because when you play great team defense you will give yourself a shot. When you rely on one great offensive player, that can go by the wayside. Defense is something you can rely on.

But most likely, you need a few elite players to win a le. Some teams do it without a ton of top level talent (Pistons), but mostly it is teams like LA who just have more talent than everyone.

Seriously. It's like they went from 3rd gear to 6th gear in a week. Impressive, and scary for other teams.

Howard actually did make a lot of improvements in his post game and passing this year, although he obviously needs a lot of work to be good in these categories..

The problem isn't that, it's the defenders..like I said in the OP, these guys defend him better than anybody in the NBA, and it's not even close..Perkins and Wallace get in his head really easily..they push him around down low, hard fouls..it's good strategy and his mental fragility is his weakness as a player right now, more than his post game or questionable offensive skills at times..

Orlando is running their offense through him too much though..keep going to VC and Nelson, just get him looks off penetration and rebounds..

If the Celtics keep playing like this, then yeah, they've gotta be the favorite to win it all. Good...anyone but the Lakers.

He needs to develop some sort of post move. Play better with his back to the basket, other than putbacks.

    Davis flops for the foul.
