And you chose to assume, clearly I'm done talking to you. Just another bonehead who won't listen to the other side of the story.

    have it your way...
So you're afraid of the question? If you are proud of your heritage, why not say where you were born? Im willing to listen to your side and i have, you're just mad because I see things differently, which is oddly what you were trying to say earlier to me about rooting for Mexico.

    Hey, I did my part.

I didn't say Sense or anyone couldn't root for their choice of teams...I just think its a question of loyalty. If someone lives here but was born in, say, Brazil and they root for the Brazilian team I get that but why root against your homeland if the situation arises? I was just asking questions and Sense got bent. If he was born in Mexico, cool, he implied he was from Texas though.

Obviously the players of the game should be the goal scorers, but to me, it was Salcido a Rafa. I thought putting Rafa in as a defensive mid was a HUGE mistake vs SA (mainly because I didn't trust Maza by himself), but since the defense did well, Rafa was able to show some offensive spark along with his usual defensive intensity.

As for Salcido, you couldn't ask anymore from him. He's been so solid in Holland these past few years, and it's shown. He can defend like an animal, he has a good shot, he passes very well, etc... If only we had a defense like this during the 98 world cup....

Also, I'll eat my crow for talking about Conejo. I'm to blame for not trusting him, for not giving him a chance; on the other hand, Mexican futbol has taught me to not ing trust any mexican goalkeeper, whether it be for my club team (rayados) or for Mexico. Today, Conejo proved me (as well as a ton of other people) wrong.

France had no real opportunities at gol. We've still yet to see what Conejo is made of.

Yeah Conejo had like one worthwhile save and I saw him out of position on several plays. I'm not sure why anyone is giving him props.

I'm saying that's how passionate our fans are, something you wouldn't understand.
There's a line between being passionate and being a bunch of stupid gots, and it's not all that thin.

LMAO Do you even watch soccer besides the world cup? Do you know how worthless Mexican goalkeepers are? What Conejo did today is comparable to a Mexican style "Peter Schmeichel" performance. He had more than enough good saves (i've rewatched the match already).

The sentiment in Mexico is that Aguirre is an idiot and no goalie has been good since Jorge Campos (who wasn't fantastic by any means).

    Congrats Mexico.

The game was really boring (as usual with France) but yet i have appreciated some of your offensive young guns. Quick and skilled.

Wish you guys good luck against Argentina (IMO, Uruguay is a bit better than Mexico)

As for us poor french fans, this game marks the end of one of our worst era ever: YOU Domenech and YOU OVERPAID PRIMA DONAS... Time to GTFO

    ???

Conejo was good in his prime in 02'. Oswaldo was good in 06' and is still a good goalie. Ochoa and Michel are both solid goalies. Conejo sucks and shouldnt be starting but that doesnt mean Mexico doesnt have any quality goalies.

I dont see the big deal if your parents are Mexican-born. Sure youre born here but you grew up with Mexican culture around your house and watching & rooting for Mexican soccer. The USA and Mexico are huge rivals in soccer, so why wouldnt someone in that situation 'hate' the USA NT?

I'm sorry but this is just being a homer...

Oswaldo was always a horrible for us.... he's still a good goalie? hahahhaa

He's been washed up for years. Conejo and Oswaldo were good at some point of their careers, but for the most part, they're just mediocre goalkeepers.

The closest goalkeepers we have to being good are Ochoa and Michel and maybe Corona... with Ochoa having the most potential and still improving.

We don't have the worst goalkeepers in the tournament, but they definitely aren't good.

I'm still looking forward to seeing Ochoa improve as a player, but seeing him on the bench isn't helping.

Im not trying to say that theyre Buffon or Casillas but they also arent "worthless".

Conejo is past his prime I agree plus the fact that he's like 5 feet tall has always made me real uncomfortable. But Oswaldo was always horrible for Mexico, really? Name a time where he was horrible. Was it during that great Confederations Cup? Copa America? The 06' World Cup? Qualifiers? Cause I dont think many people would agree if you said he had bad performances during those compe ions. He's a natural leader and has alot of experience under his belt. If Aguirre wanted an experienced keeper he shouldve gone with Oswaldo not Conejo.

    Im a Pumas fan.

I just dont get how Mexico's goalies have ever been "worthless" or "horrible". Like I said Im not saying theyre Buffon or anything, simply that theyre solid. Goalkeepers is not something Mexico has been lacking. That would be forwards and creative mids.

The game against Argentina where he conceded 3 keeper goals....

Oswaldo's problem were always his feet... his clearance of the ball in pressure situations almost always ended falling to the opposing team or out of bounds...

Meh, that's not so bad of a problem for a goalkeeper.
