Well I guess all the focus will be on Adam - Baynes and our draft pick for summer league.
Yes, pretty much.

Davis Bertans @DBertans_44
Coach Chip is a really great guy... got me all 30 for 30 movies, so i have something to watch after the surgery...

I'm done with the last treatment before the surgery... Tommorow is the big day.. #GettingTheKneeFixed
and he got himself a best of the west tshirt
So, is anyone else high on Bertans after his surgery.
ACL reconstruction is actually not that much of a problem nowadays, unless something goes really really wrong and someone does stupid things. The functional rehab protocols are well known.
The main trouble is to make sure both knees are correctly rehabed, as the non operated knee is the one that is the more prone to be injuried (ALC tear or rupture), due to muscle loss generated by the body to balance the injured knee.
If Bertans is able to prove he is healthy near the end of the 2013-2014 season, I would be all for Spurs signing him in the 2014 summer.
I didn't know that about his finger. Interesting lol.
Looks impressive
At least he looks aggressive. Need to have a talk with him about that #44 jersey
It's interesting that those highlights had a lot of blocks. A couple of years ago, he said that he was trying to work on becoming a better defender. Let's hope there's some substance behind those impact plays.

a retun by Christmas wouldn't be terrible. It's not like he was going to a contributor this year anyway. He was going to need a year to learn the system, get reps in Austin, etc. 5 months of that isn't a bad investment on a cheap deal.
I think the spurs not signing him has less to do with his injury, than them wanting to see what fall out comes from the Neal/Blair departures, as well as what player is available to scoop up with the last slot. If they strike out on Oden or someone like Ayon, and they're not convinced about Thomas, then why not Bertans?
I like the way he plays. Weak compe ion, but still.

It's been 7 weeks post surgery, and i just started shooting jumpshots, feeling good and still knocking those 3's down
If you want to see a silver lining at that injury is that Bertans will surely takes more muscles/weight rehabbing with Spurs for months that with Partizan where the focus is on games and endless practices. Lack of strength is the main obstacle between Bertans and the NBA.
any news about what about his contract situation? AFAIK he is signed with Partizan till summer 2015. is there a drop out/buy out clause?
and what could be the deal with the Spurs when they manage (and likely finance) all the medical treatment and rehab?
