Great thread.
college and girlfriend, tbh.
KG has never been known as a great man defender. Its no surprise Dirk lit him up one on one. His team defensive presence is whats got him all those awards.
obvious trolling aside, all time I would put Duncan at 1, KG at 2, and Dirk/Barkley is pretty much a coin flip for 3 at this point. I think you might as well just give it to Dirk because, barring a major injury, he will keep producing at a high level for a few more years. I never really saw Barkley play in his prime either, I'm just going off accolades.
Malone, is the #2 scorer all time but like many others here know, he was in an offense where he could pad his stats like no other. Just watching him play I thought it was pretty obvious that he wasn't in the same class as these top four
Barkley is so severly overrated. I don't know if I can take anyone seriously who
would even toss him in the convo offhandedly. He had some good games but never
dominated the position.
Also, if you never saw prime barkley you never saw prime malone or Jordan for that matter. I guess you can call those two finals prime, but I dunno, and you were probably too young to know what you were looking at.
Those players were prime in the early 90's Jordan's second championship year, was his prime. 6-7 years later, it's like where players like KG were at last year.
