Timmy last 3 season total points were 1227 (69 games), 1119 (74 games), 1070 (77 games) in 2013/2014/2015 respectively..Here, he needs 972 points this season to crack the top 10 all-time scoring list..it is going to be close assuming the further reduction of his offensive role , more DNPs , simple isue of age/decline..he will sure get there if he sticks around to 2017 though and may take over the 8th where Moses Malone is ranked with 27409 points but Dirk is safe at 7th (28119) IMO ..From active players, Lebron (24913) is lock to leapfrog him..Pierce 3yr contract (25899) will surely catch him..Not KG (25949)..and even Dwayne Wade (18812) might not. Durant (15537) is on pace to do so but still far now with health questions looming..

Timmy is only 3 points away from 26K! Should get that in the 1st quarter in Boston tomorow.

It will be a very close thing to end the season with enough points to pass Hakeem.

Not only does Duncan now have the most wins with one team, but he also moved into 3rd in all-time wins (regardless of teams). Parish is 2nd with 1014, and Kareem is 1st with 1074. Can't see any scenario where Duncan passes Kareem (would have to play 2 more seasons after this one). He'll definitely pass Parish if he plays next season, otherwise it's highly unlikely.

    I don't think anyone's gonna break Wilt's rebounding record.

Or average 50 a game for a season..

That year when he scored 30, he had a bad night..

Comparatively speaking, Wilt played with midgets though; his numbers are mitigated by that reality.

Even ignoring the compe ion, the game was just played so much differently back then. The pace was much, much faster...more possessions --> more opportunities for putting up numbers.

Plus, the ball was heavier and more shots were missed.

If the Spurs average 62-20 in these two seasons. But I guess that doesn't count Tim's DNPs? So, maybe not.

He was such a beast, I think if he was playing today he is still probably the best player in the league.

Not the first time I've heard that. I'm skeptical of that claim though.

I'm not.. 7'1 with his athletic skills. Wilt once walked onto a track and field event (High Jump) practiced for like 5 minutes and won. He threw a 53 foot shot put in high school. How is this for a vertical leap?

This is footage of him in college.. Skip to 1:09 and look at that ridiculous burst of speed he puts on leading the break.. 2:50 look at how high he gets in the air to block that shot.. ing insane. With the size and depth of the league today, not he is not putting up 50 or grabbing 25 boards a night, but 30 and 12 no doubt.. At least I think so..
