And it's unbelievable how worthless Bonner looks without the big 3 and all the plays that they set for him.
Splitter, Blair and Diaw should play all the remaining minutes.

Well, that was horrible. As expected, Bonner unplayable against physical teams.

Not even close to RJ. He isn't hiding in the corner nor is he invisible on D. He's just struggling to find his offensive game really.
Yeah, I'm just basing it on the offensive numbers. Won't surprise me if Jackson becomes MVP in the 2nd half.

Kind of ironic Green and Jackson played the most minutes in the first half since they were our two worst players.

Without Parker and Ginobili, the Spurs don't have anyone who can run the offense fluidly. It's not gonna be pretty, but they'll win late. Maybe.

Bonner can't pass himself the ball. He's been wide open the whole game. The ball-hog guards will not pass it.

I dont think Jackson is playing as terrible as some posters are saying he can get it going in the second half and he is nothing like RJ he is taking it the baskett and is just missing some shots and he also made some nice plays on D

i would have expected him to step up and be ultra energetic and be a leader with the big 3 out
He started pretty agressive but he just didn't hit his shot, like I said he isn't a go to guy. He's still playing considerable well.

One thing I didn't understand about the "clear path" foul - when the refs were looking at the replay, they kept emphasizing "See, this is when he actually gets possession of the ball" as though you're supposed to wait for that and then see if there's a clear path.

That's utter bull . You're supposed to look at the instant the foul was committed.

The foul happened (ball was bobbling at the time), the Jazz player takes a long stride and then gains possession of the ball, and the refs act like that cons utes a clear path because no defender was ahead of him at the time he gained possession.

Is that actually the rule? I honestly don't know.

Jax should shoot JS instead of the fake and dribble to the hoop.

I'm honestly really happy with what I'm seeing right now. If this game is called better or a couple more shots fell, the Spurs are winning. Without the Big 3. In Utah. Utah.

Tbh, Jack is probably going to need to make four or five buckets for the Spurs to get this game. Otherwise, not enough offensive options out there for the Spurs unless Jack has the space to create.

And, here we go. Definition of a "clear path" foul from nba.com -

Clear Path to the Basket: If a fast break starts in a team’s backcourt and a defender fouls any offensive player when the team is going to score an easy basket, a clear path foul has occurred. When the foul happens, no defender can be ahead of the ball where he could defend against the easy basket.

Just as I thought, you're supposed to look at the relative positions of the players at the time the foul is committed, not when the player gains possession of the ball.

Yeah Bonner is actually doing a decent job out there but without a distributor out there to create for him he is pretty worthless on the court.

It looks to me like Jacskon has lot a bit of confidence on his jumpshot.
