If it were that easy I'd do it. They don't hand out trophies to 35-win teams--especially not in LA. Jerry's sprog struckout in FA, so the only thing left is to swallow his pride, tank for a possible franchise lottery pick, and bide your time by handing out a legacy contract to the only player that'll keep asses in the seats during their ty transition.

Bad situation, but I'm not bitter over 2012 or Dwight b/c it was clear after a couple months it was doomed to fail. Wish him success in Houston. Only team that annoys me anymore is the Clippers b/c they're y. I'm salty as over 2011, though and always will be. Much like Manu will forever be tainted to some Spurs fans for costing them 2 les.

We bash a player when they deserve to be bashed. You bash one player to prop up another (in this case, downplay Pau's impact on your team the last 5 years to make Kirby look better than he really is).

Seriously. Pau has been nothing but great for that franchise, and look at how they treat him...It's not like he missed a key free throw to seal the championship or turn the ball over 8 times in the same game...

Show me one thread whereas Spur Fan gave a about Pau before he donned the Purple and Gold in '08. My theory: he didn't matter until he became a Laker, but now he does to Spur Fans. He is currently 0-16 without Kobe in the playoffs and is also leading a lottery team this year without him.

The Lakers aren't winning jack this year. He is the highest paid PF/C in the league...and he is not even an allstar... yet he's paid like one. That doesn't add up son.

Question for all of you farmers: is Pau worth $19M? If he isn't, why the should we keep him on the payroll? Time to get something for him or let his albatross contract expirePERIOD.
