WOW! The NBA may be truly looking at the formation of a dynasty. Yeah, there are a few players I hate to see go, Big Dog, Devin, others. But all of them have rings to show for their short stay. I'd like to see Devin stay, somehow. The Spurs can count on this Marylander being down there for a few games this year. I simply have to see this in person.

I agree, but I tend to look at The Admiral as more of a partner than a sidekick. Sentimental reasons I guess, but I suppose you could look at the Admiral as Duncan's best sidekick.

Here are the last 17 NBA Champions, followed by players on that team who were named to the All-NBA Team (1st, 2nd or 3rd Team). I started with 1989 because that was the first year that an All-NBA 3rd Team was awarded.

    2005: Spurs (Duncan-1)
    2004: Pistons (B.Wallace-2)
    2003: Spurs (Duncan-1)
    2002: Lakers (Shaq-1,Kobe-1)
    2001: Lakers (Shaq-1,Kobe-2)
    2000: Lakers (Shaq-1,Kobe-2)
    1999: Spurs (Duncan-1)
    1998: Bulls (Jordan-1,Pippen-3)
    1997: Bulls (Jordan-1,Pippen-2)
    1996: Bulls (Jordan-1,Pippen-1)
    1995: Rockets (Hakeem-3,Drexler-3)
    1994: Rockets (Hakeem-1)
    1993: Bulls (Jordan-1,Pippen-3)
    1992: Bulls (Jordan-1,Pippen-2)
    1991: Bulls (Jordan-1)
    1990: Pistons (Dumars-3)
    1989: Pistons (None)

This could be the nastiest Spurs team ever if it gels. The Spurs have any number of guys who warrant significant defensive attention by themselves. They have an offensive scheme designed to probe the defense and find optimal scoring opportunities. They have clutch shooters and scorers. Rebounders and shot blockers. Great defenders. And plenty of championship experience.

    Got damn.
Even after several days of reflection, I'm still pumped about this year's Spurs team. I just can't see any team beating this Spurs team to win the trophy next year. Sometimes, ya know, you get excited, but then you come back to earth and think its not all that. This is definitely not one of those times! Even in a month, this team is still going to look unbeatable. If we don't have any major injuries, it is difficult to see how we don't repeat.

So, has Fin already signed a contract? Will there be a press conference? Don Harris mentioned that he will be in SA today. Is that true? Thanks...
