Boban Marjanovic’s daily devotion to becoming a better player has made a positive impression on his teammates. “He’s a tremendously hard worker,” Spurs guard Patty Mills said. “High work ethic, always…whether it’s in the weight room or on the court.” But there’s something else about the 7-foot-3 Serbian that has caught the attention of his teammates. “He loves to sing. He loves to rap,” Mills said. “That’s my little inside scoop on him.” Rap? Really? “Yeah…and with a Serbian accent, which makes it even better,” Mills said. “In English…I think it’s English.” Whether Marjanovic can carry a tune is irrelevant. The point is, the big man is fitting in nicely in the locker room. “He’s a really, really genuine nice guy,” Mills said. “…He loves to crack a joke all the time – some are really funny, some you got to laugh at to make him feel good.”

Would like to see him get some burn during the Pelicans and/or Grizzlies game especially being on a back to back to give some Tim some rest to play both games. Boban vs Ajinca would be pretty intriguing matchup, even throwing Boban on Gasol and see if his length can bother him.

Boban is just developing his game right now. Same with McCallum. Butler is the extremely rare exception of a player who learns the Spurs system right off the bat. Diaw was the only player that came close to learning it as fast. Both are projects right now and they will be getting more playing time as they get more comfortable with the system.

It was the same for Mills his first year as well. A lot of drills and conditioning and no actual playing time.

Tavares (Hawks 7'3" player) was assigned to the Toros. Perhaps Boban gets some duties with the Toros also?

P.S. I know they are called the Spurs now, but always less confusion if you call them Toros.

Not bad highlights. Needs to start becoming comfortable with the style of play. He certainly can pass and can shoot. The only issue is his inability to defend the perimeter.

16-18 shooting. Wilt the Stilt like performance.

NBA is too quick. However, this guy if virtually unstoppable on certain levels. I wouldn't be surprised if the next game he scores 50 points.

I like him overall, but at KL2 claiming he's better than Sabonis.

Even no knees Sabonis was on another level of coordination than Boban.

That dribble-drive finger roll at :27

How old was Sabonis when he played in the NBA?

Marjanovic is 27, he has room to improve his game. I want to start seeing 3pt shooting from him. That would be unblockable!

No doubt in my mind Sabonis would have been an all time great big man if he hadn't come into the nba so late
