i wanted tyreke back when he was a FA leaving the kings (tbh thought manu would imminently retire... me), but he got paid more than the MLE to play for new orleans. i still think he's a good player when on the floor, but his injury history is just too much, so it would really have to be a below market contract

Meh. I get what you're saying but it's 2017. Players play till theyre past 40 and come back from injuries much easier now. Paul George broke his leg in half and just got a 20 mil yr contract. Gay at 8.5 is a great signing.

broken bones are a different animal than a torn tendon. recovering from a broken bone is incredibly routine and in fact they heal stronger than the original bone. that's simply not a comparison. the only time a broken leg becomes seriously problematic is when you have artery/nerve damage
