Shut down LMA and don't bring Kawhi back from here.
I've maintained that it was too late. But maybe not a bad idea. Prolly get a late lottery pick.

Messina's choice of players to close out this game is questionable I will say that.
Messina. if they win it then yay, but still questionable group to close... think Danny probably should have been in...
This was me while they were still ahead b4 a series of Paddy and Manu TO etc...

Patty Mills is the new Matt Bonner. Red Rocket sold him that dirt on Pop.

This team is not going to make the playoffs unless Clippers and Jazz tank. Warriors and Rockets losses coming within the next two weeks.

I bet the Spurs players wish they had those 2 points back that Poop shamelessly gave to the Pelicans on double technicals on a play which Rondo clearly established himself in bounds.

What next? Will we find out Ma Touches has a complete ankle tear?
No Spurs doctors will clear him but he won't come back for ages ala Kawhi.

I actually like Messina's adjustment to having LMA unavailable. Rudy makes the most sense as the third-string center. The team didn't seem to have enough experience practicing with that lineup, however. If Ettore did make a mistake, it was playing Green too long to start the fourth. When I saw that, I knew he was going to sit Danny so Manu could play. That wasn't a horrible idea really, but in a game where you can't seem to stop anyone, going small on the perimeter didn't seem necessarily.

Messina made a mistake putting the shortest guy to inbound the ball.
That was fricking unbelievable... TBH... and I have seen Pop play Mills to close many, many games, I don't recall once Mills inbounding a ball to close a game. Pop usually has a big like Pau or Kyle make those passes.... Messina... I cannot say this enough... why Mills on that pass?

Sure you can't help not having your best bigs and having made a choice since the summer of playing a smaller group with a ton of guards, but the least you can do is not blunder a play call like that one ^

I actually think Rondo was still out of bounds, but yeah. In a game where his guys were up by playing scrappy ball, getting himself thrown out had little upside.

GG on to the next one. I blame it on Messina.
Blame it on Pop for getting ejected for no reason during a 13 point lead.

Messina then had Kyle on the inbound for the last play, but not the one b4 when Paddy TO.

Patty actually had a good look to tie the game and missed it. He should have never had Paddy inbound that ing ball. That and a few other questionable calls from Messina was game. of course Pop didn't need to get ejected from this in the first place.
We have toppled from being a high IQ organization to being stunningly stupid from top to bottom.

The replay looked like he was inbounds, but either way, it was dumb getting ejected over.

Yeah we had injuries but Pelicans were without Boogie too. This team is just straight up trash like I've always said.

I think I have done a 180. I wouldn't oppose using this injury as an excuse to hold him out for the season and drop as low as we could for the best draft position possible.

yea... Pop started this with needless technicals in a game the team needed him to be at his best, dialed in coaching, not stressing everyone out acting up.
