That game was OVER. Let’s not rewrite history. They weren’t coming back that game. Parker went into ball hog mode thinking he was gonna get his2nd finals mvp. Nope, didn’t work.

Spurs were up 14 with almost 11 minutes left. I’ve seen bigger leads than that disappear in under 4 minutes (Spurs/Warriors 2013 G1).

Parker didn’t have to bring the Spurs back from a deficit in 2014 G5 game like he did in 2013 G6, but why wouldn’t you want your best player to close out the Finals for you? He was your only All-Star, only All-NBA player, and had led the team in scoring the whole season and the whole playoffs, including the Finals.
