"James Dell Talarico is an American politician, Presbyterian seminarian, and former public school teacher serving in the Texas House of Representatives since 2018."
More than likely, a Communist.
you don't know what communism is.
Dallas Morning News editorial endorsement
https://www.dallasnews.com/opinion/w...mary-election/Attorney General Ken Paxton, Cornyn’s main opponent, is one of the most ethically compromised men in American politics today.
He was credibly charged in an impeachment with selling out his office, partly for gain and partly to further an alleged extra-marital affair. His wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton, stood by him during his impeachment, only to file for divorce on biblical grounds later after another alleged affair. This from a man who demands the Ten Commandments be posted in schools.
Texans who aren’t hyperpartisan are disgusted by Paxton’s hypocrisy and know he would be vulnerable to defeat in a general election. The GOP base may have to learn this the hard way, and we are doubtful the blindly loyal will. But for those conservatives who still embrace independence, please cast a vote for Cornyn for the sake of your party if not the state.
U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt, who is also trying to run as the most MAGA, is a better candidate than Paxton, but only by virtue of not being an ethical mess. Hunt proudly doesn’t show up to do his job in Washington, D.C. His appeal to voters is solely his uncritical allegiance to Trump.
Paxton’s sales job boils down to the same thing. It’s a promise that he’s not his own man, that he will simply be a tool. If you visit his website, he pledges to “carry the torch” for Trump but offers precious little about his own ideas. When did this become the spirit of Texas conservatism?
Cornyn has ideas and a record of delivering for Texans. He has years of conservative legislative accomplishments to point to, including lower taxes, federal reimbursements for border security and a commitment to law and order.
Before Paxton was impeached, he saw his top deputies in the attorney general’s office turn against him. These are people he hired, deeply conservative people who love this state and fought for it. Sickened by what they saw as open corruption, they turned their boss in.
We urge conservatives not to let their independence be undermined by the false promises and bottomless fealty of a compromised man seeking to ac ulate yet more power.
There is a true and ethical conservative in this race. His name is John Cornyn.
Trump endorses all three candidates
Oddsmakers have this piece of Paxton as the favorite to unseat Cornyn. Unreal.
John Cornyn sells his soul to Donald J. Trump to beat Ken Paxton
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/ele...ate-rcna262927Now, locked in a compe ive Republican runoff for his Senate seat and eyeing President Donald Trump's endorsement, Cornyn says he'll support "whatever changes to Senate rules that may prove necessary" to pass the SAVE America Act, a sweeping election overhaul bill that Trump has called his No. 1 priority.
Stunning turn of events. Tells you how unwavering these Maga s are in their religion.
lolol
https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/a...s-senate-race/A new poll from the nonpartisan Texas Public Opinion Research (TPOR) shows state Attorney General Ken Paxton leading Sen. John Cornyn by 8 percentage points among likely voters in the Republican Senate primary runoff on May 26.
The poll, released Friday and conducted by the polling firm Slingshot Strategies on behalf of TPOR, shows Paxton leading Cornyn by a margin of 48% to 40%, with 11% undecided.
Perhaps most significantly, the poll indicates that, even if President Donald Trump were to endorse Cornyn, it would not give him enough of a boost to close the gap with Paxton.
polls this far away from an election are useless, but this result isn't very good in a state that went for Trump +13.8 in 2024
https://www.texastribune.org/2026/04...2026-midterms/Democratic state Rep. James Talarico is leading both of his prospective Republican opponents in a new poll of Texas’ U.S. Senate race — though the result is within the margin of error in either scenario, suggesting a close contest in November.
The poll, conducted by Texas Public Opinion Research from April 17 to 20, found Talarico leading Sen. John Cornyn by three percentage points, 44% to 41%. The Austin Democrat leads Attorney General Ken Paxton by a margin of five percentage points, 46% to 41%. The survey included 1,865 likely general election voters and had a margin of error of +/-2.5 percentage points.

I don't think there's a cabal, but it is unambiguously true that there are powerful men who protect pedophiles

Tillis: "To call Paxton 'ethically challenged' is to call Jeffrey Dahmer suffering from an eating disorder. He's gonna be an anchor on our caucus"
YEAH BUT PAXTON WANTS TO PUT THE 10 COMMANDMENTS IN ALL PUBLIC CLASSROOMS. HE'S A GODLY MAN.
Adam Hoffman has been released from jail for "good behavior."
Hoffman is the Waco, TX attorney who faced life without parole for repeatedly raping a young boy, until Texas AG Ken Paxton offered him 1 day in jail and no need to register as a sex offender.
^ but they're terrified of trans athletes
are they terrified?
I know they act like it
If they're really not, they're really good at acting the part.
https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov...ntally-ill-menAttorney General Ken Paxton has launched an initiative to ensure that women’s privacy is upheld and that no state agency or political subdivision allows biological males in private spaces such as restrooms and locker rooms that are intended for female use only.
Senate Bill 8, known as the Texas Women’s Privacy Act.....
But yeah, let Hoffman back out on the street.
Hoffman “was first arrested and charged in 2022 for repeated instances of sexual abuse with a 10-year-old boy, a first-degree felony, and was facing life without parole.”
some are disgusted and repelled, but some get fascinated then get scared about that
then hide it poorly in public
If nothing else, the "WHAT ABOUT THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S SAFETY" fear mongering works on them seemingly every time.
