11th seed, 7-3 in Last 10, 5W streak
He at least has an understanding of playmaking. The rest of his game isn’t ready yet, but they could really use someone who can run the offense. Right now the offense gets run into the ground.

An undersized midget that can't shoot doesn't strike me as an intriguing prospect. Should have just drafted Haliburton, he's already a better playmaker than anyone on our team. Also puts to shame our backcourt(Murray/White)that we've been working years to develop.
Pop and co have struggled to defend fast pg's in the last few seasons. It's the defensive gameplan and not the team. I honestly believe Spurs have more hope beating a healthy Lakers team in the best of 3 than the Kings.
Halliburton would be glued to the bench next to Luka. He’s not getting to show off his skills like that on this Spurs team.
Heck. Vassell ain’t even getting a chance with these spot minutes. So who the knows how good he’s is or going to be.
DJ looks ing pissed in his post-game presser. Clearly doesn’t wanna be there and he’s cussing in his responses![]()
Man, resigning DeRozan would be the worst mistake the team could make this off-season. The big silver lining to games like these is that it shows how the team can't advance with him. Sink or swim.... But no more of this.
It's good that the kid wants to win badly. I wish some of his teammates felt the same. I know the guys are trying (they're not totally giving up), but it seems like a few of them don't really have that drive to want to win every game. Dejounte seems to have it IMO.
This is getting embarrassing.. cant beat the kings at home.
The spurs bench made this game compe ive, when the SL was in the lead usually got bigger.
As of right now, doesn't look like this team will even make the playoffs. If that is the case, it's going to be a completely wasted season for more reasons that one. Not playing the youth and not getting a higher draft pick. Just missing the playoffs would be the worst possible outcome to this season IMO. In order of worst to best 1. Not making the playoffs by a narrow margin 2. making the playoffs. 3. getting a higher draft pick 4. developing the youth and giving them more court time (this being the best move of what should have taken priority this season. When Luka showed flashes, he should have started to get more court time).
I don't know, it seems that the Spurs are going in the wrong direction. It started off as a promising season, but now it's looking like it might end up as the worst case scenario IMO (narrowly missing the playoffs while not fully investing in the development of the youth).
Random but for us local Spurs fans, that was the last Spurs game that will ever be aired under the label Fox Sports. They are being rebranded Bally Sports beginning Wednesday. After 21 years of being Fox Sports Southwest. Weird tbh.
When you don't pick a direction, you treadmill. That's where the Spurs are...nba purgatory. Not good enough to contend, not bad enough to land the best talent in the draft.
And what makes it worse is if he walks in free agency, the Spurs face the prospect of losing both of their two biggest stars from the past three years for zero compensation, not so much as even a single draft pick in return. Pretty bad planning.
Keldon needs to get his confidence back in shooting 3s. He’s starting to turn into eRozan and I ing hate seeing it
Not enough 3 point shooting and 3 point defense sucks.

Watched this one delayed gents, this schizophrenic team...you just shake your head at times.
- Kings are much better team now that Bagley is out of the lineup. It’s telling that Detroit said no to a straight swap of Bey for Bagley.
(This was reported around the deadline.)
Kings now are playing to their strengths and are a formidable offensive team. They can be a match up nightmare.
- Pop seems to be getting attached to the White, DJ and Patty trio late in games. Hate this. You lose the size advantage you could have at PG and are undersized at the ‘3’. With a defence predicated on switches and communication; you’re gifting teams certain physical advantages on Offense. Hope this is based upon LWIV out with injury and not a sign of things to come down the stretch.
- White, DJ and Poeltl all had moments were I thought they played really well. Good stuff. Get a 4 quarter performance from 2/3, Spurs are going to be in a lot of games.
- DDR was getting hunted on D. No escaping that fact. Going to continue hurt the Spurs long term if we go down this path. DDR deserves credit for bringing us back in the 3rd, but damage was irreparable. You need 4 + defenders on the court with him to really mitigate this.
Confident we can play better in the next game. Go Spurs!
Surs have now lost 5/6 games and need a cupcake on the schedule quick
Sinclair owned behemoth is all you need to know. Sinclair is the giant right wing corporation that occasionally makes all of its affiliate news stations' personnel read ridiculous propaganda as though their brains have been co-opted by the children of the corn.
Creepy outfit. But then again, we live in a ing creepy ass country that long ago sold its soul in the interest of greed and profits.
Agreed. But sadly I’d rather he walk for nothing than resign him.
Why are we sucha ty home team? Not that I pay too much attention to this but who is the last team to have a great road record and a ty home record? We are like the LA Chargers from a few years ago
Whataburger availability
Since I live in NC I will never forget the '02 Charlotte Hornets which was the last original Hornets team in Charlotte before the move to New Orleans. That team during their final season in Charlotte had a better road record than their home record. Their road record was 23-18 while their home record was 21-20. A lot of it had to do with Hornets home games having super low attendance of less than a thousand fans in an arena at the time that had a seating capacity of 24K. Essentially it felt like the arena was empty during home games.
This team is all messed up - to me there is no structure then Pop just giving minutes to the old vets. Pop is the Goat but his time has passed and he needs to hand the baton to the next coach I know it won't happen until he breaks the record.
but, but, what about the cap space?
This team deserves to miss the playoffs for it mishandled the vet situation.
