Can’t remember the last time a 2 seed lost to the 7th seed other than Mavs/Spurs in 2010.
What a skull ing. Almost as embarrassing a performance as Phoenix in Game 7 last year.
Can’t remember the last time a 2 seed lost to the 7th seed other than Mavs/Spurs in 2010.
Imagine if Sacramento wins game 7 and gets to the play the Lakers next round
I’d welcome it …
Fox will kill us
But AD eating
Smh, Grizzlies didn't even put up a smidgen of a fight. Win-Win for the NBA whether the Warriors or Kings advance to play the Flake-Show. Warriors win, it's Steph and Co. vs Aye-Dee and LeBron. If the Kings win, it's "The Rematch". No way though the NBA allows the Kings to win against the L.A. Leaf Rakers. Bookies will have Adam Stern hanging by his underpants if they let the Kings win against L.A.
Yeah, I'll never* root for any L.A. team (*unless MAYBE a Pop protégé is coaching and there's no other options.. *maybe*) even though the city itself might be a cool visit. I know many here hated Kobe while he was playing, as did I, but I will say he became much more likable to me after his retirement. I actually enjoyed watching his interviews and so forth, post-playing career.
There were so many moments in this series where the Grizzlies gave up too easily when things got tough. In game 1 when Ja went out they folded quickly. In game 3 they gave up immediately from the start. Tonight, they repeated the pattern. They have to fire Jenkins and bring in a hard ass coach. These guys don't respect Jenkins. He has lot complete control of this team.
They also have to get rid of Brooks. This guy thought he could make a career out of being Draymond type of player which is talking a lot of and play dirty and hope your team can capitalize off of it. Obviously, it failed and after this epic ass whooping his opponents never take him seriously or be rattled by this guy's dirty antics.
I feel the exact same way. I don't hate the Lakers right now, but I'm not going for them to win the Championship or anything. Also, same as you, I started liking Kobe towards the very end of his career and post retirement I enjoyed watching his interviews. He seems very smart and was going to succeed away from Basketball unlike a lot of the former players/superstars that did poorly once their playing days were over. Really legit guy. I also really respected even more that he seemed to really be a great family man after retirement too (both as a father and husband). A lot of former players don't seem to do well with their marriages after their playing days are over, but he seemed to solidify his with time he now had since he wasn't playing anymore. Still really shocked.
Hopefully the Kings win game 7 as I will most likely tune in to that one. Going to be great if it's Lakers Vs Kings and also Knicks Vs Heat will be awesome too. Brings me back to the days when I was a kid as I loved that era.
Me too, ever since this moment Kobe games were must see TV

Only issue I ever took with Kobe is his lack of self awareness publicly. On the floor, whatever issues he had were his team's issues as well and obviously the Buss family bought into his plan, and for the most part, it worked financially.
Kirby raped as a player and killed his daughter in retirement. GTFOH with this post-mortem bull .
Very pleasantly surprised with Kings win in game 6. Color Me stunned that they beat ABC Disney Golden in game 7.
Why do I have the feeling GSW are gonna win game 7?
It could obviously change at any time, but at this writing the timing seems to be aligning.
There doesn't appear to be an opening on the horizon befitting his stature (Embiid and Harden injuries should help Rivers, while Clippers and Grizzlies feel a year away, but his personality doesn't seem suited for either team), while at the same time his stock has never been lower and he seems burnt out.
Agreed. Udoka would have been a good fit. The shine hasn't yet worn off Jenkins though (he's got national media hipster nerd's approval as a young white coach who lucked into coaching talent quickly after a meteoric rise through assistant ranks where he likely formed relationships with many of them along the way), but this felt like the beginning of the end.
They should target Finney-Smith as a replacement with some of their draft capital.

The NBA will not allow their darling warriors to lose and miss out on an epic lakers/warriors show!
No way.
Rooting for the Lakers felt weird, but it had to be done against the Grizz.
Hoping the Dubs lose tomorrow so the world can return to normal and I can start rooting against the LakeShow.
Nuggets drilling treys.
Jokic cleaning up the boards.
I like it.
Sons 0-1 in about 40 minutes real time.
Wasn't at all impressed with the Suns in Round 1 and figured the Nuggets would tap that ass. With Milwaukee out of the way gotta think Denver might be the favorites.
Dubs until they're eliminated imo. I know you haven't been impressed with them but they have the devil's luck.
East anyone but Boston for me.
Soft gots including Tatum with his Kobme ball need to GTFO.
Had the Warriors beat at 3-2 until they self destructed.
Haven't changed a thing.
Now Embiid down with an injury so don't tell me the Soft Celtics get another Finals.
I've also been surprised with how high many of the talking heads were with Phoenix after the first round. Yes, they could still be that team that makes a deep championship run. And Booker did put up some crazy games. But they beat a Clippers team without Kawhi and George. And the last two games to close that series were both close games... Other than Booker's individual scoring numbers, didn't feel like the Suns were that impressive. But analysts before this game have made it sound like they're the team to beat in the West.
For all their flaws, Nuggets seem to have better balance and much better depth. And their two stars can at the very least offset Booker and KD, and when they're rolling can outproduce them any given game too.
I'm not counting out the Suns. They could easily win this series. I just wouldn't be surprised if they lost. Should be and hoping for a good series, 6-7 games would be fun.
