He amazes me. I cannot believe the consistency in which he hits shots like that. I am so glad he is on my Mavs. It is simply amazing. Few others are able to do that....Kobe...Duncan even to me at times.....just awesome.

I am as anti-mavs as you are going to get, but you have to give the players for making almost impossible shots. I mean Dirk was fading away to the left, jumping off one foot (the wrong one no less), shooting a rainbow shot with a hand in his face.
It is so weird hearing Dallas paired with the term defensive team.
I agree.
Really the only Mav players I have real issues with are Terry and Harris.
Stackhouse is questionable.
I like Dirk and Van Horn.
I am indifferent to the rest.
Dallas - Defense has been an oxymoron for so long.
Cuban is still a moron. At least some things never change.![]()
Ok, I have to ask. Why would you have an issue with Devin Harris but like Keith Van Horn? I mean, I know opinions vary and all, but I'm just curious. Harris doesn't bother me at all--though I agree with you about Terry.
This is a good half time story- about the Katrina survivor team. It is inspirational how basketball brought all those kids together.
KVH - he is the mvp of his team as soon as he steps on the court
Terry - Ball hogger and constipated face extrodinaire
Dirk - softest (many other words fit here) great player of all time
Harris - showed some class when he gave props to tp. He's playing scared in the finals as I predicted.
Erick Dampier - preferably known as Erika and aka 2nd best center in the league
Diop - like his game, unselfish type of player, needed Avery type personality to get into nba shape.
Howard - good thing those braces are off because those close in shots of his face included saliva in his mouth. Yikes. That was great coverage by ABC
The rest- who knows
Harris can play. It is not about that.
Harris to me acts like a punk kid. I just can't support his at ude.
I have a soft spot for Keith since I have rooted for him since he was a rookie.
I was happy to see the good stretches Keith's been having, although I wasn't thrilled when he got hot against us. LOL.
I didn't hear Harris give props to anybody. When was that?
Anyone else sick of how "dumbed down" the announcers have been? This is my only complaint with it being broadcasted by ABC.
Later guys....going to enjoy the rest of the game. Maybe see you later.
Maybe I'm just a jerk, but WHYYYYYYY are they showing this? One of the coach's and the forward could barely speak. It's a nice story and all......but get it off me TV. Lets talk about the game. They do this during the Olympics all the time. These feel good vignettes that I could totally care less about. I don't watch much of the Olympics any moe due to these lubby-dubby stories. Help those kids speak and articulate better instead of talking about their state championship. This is a good half time story- about the Katrina survivor team. It is inspirational how basketball brought all those kids together.
OK, I'm done being a jerk now.....
At halftime of one of the mavs - spurs games, Lisa Saulters interviewed Harris at halftime. He was asked how he feels his and tp's game are similar. He said tp is a great player, an all star, and likes to attack the basket. He also said it's a great compliment to be compared to him.
Yep. they always do this. pisses me off. They have to treat the broadcast like everyone is a basketball virgin. We will probably hear them describe what a lane violation is 7 more times before this series is over....
You would rather listen to ESPN announcers for an entire half?
Really?

"Dumbed down" from what? Are you referring just to Breen and Hubie or to the rest of the crew? Although I don't know why I'm asking, it probably doesn't make a difference to me, given that I think most NBA announcing is pretty bad. I mean, I really don't care that Dirk's father wanted him to play handball.
I would have rathered anything than what they showed....even 20 minutes of Shaq's mumbles through the years would have been better.
If they gave me one dollar for every carry Howard has had in the game, I'd have 100 dollars by now
Bah humbug!![]()
Hey, I didn't even watch the halftime show and I feel the same way you do. That's precisely why I don't watch halftime shows--I would if they focused on the game. It seems like once upon a time, they actually broke down the first half instead of showing "features." It's hard for me to imagine anyone actually cares, but maybe I'm just hard-hearted.
Miami's "D" gets an F right about now. Lazy!
