As a complete aside that I doubt anyone else will care about, the Texas Court of Appeals for the Thirteenth District, which runs essentially from the Valley up to just south of Houston, is on the verge of having ts first elected Republican ever.

Ken Mehlman makes me vomit. He has turned EVERY interview into a pimp stop for his loser candidate, Steele, in Md. Hey Ken, your candidate got a large crossover infusion of Dems in Prince George county and STILL couldn't win. Weak support from your "base", I guess.
WEBB PULLS AHEAD WITH 99% REPORTING. CNN, just now.
!@$#@$#JL@$U#@$)U*#@*Ijhlidfjasfna
you can say that again...
It's like a shade over 2500 votes. There are three areas left to count, Newport News, traditionally GOP, but a Navy area where Webb may stand him off, and two Demo areas.
holy .
the democrats are going to be one seat short though from what i'm seeing so far, unfortunately.
maybe there is another miracle to be had....

I'm actually glad the Democrats got the house. In the last few years, Republicans have blurred the lines between church and state even moreso than they usually do and that is something so very Anti-American. I go to church and everything but it's weak to use the church vote the way the Republicans have gone to it recently.
They deserve to lose. And actually, the parties have gotten so close in ideology that it doesn't even really matter anymore. I used to not care about politics. Now it's 99.9% laughable to me.

An 1,800 vote lead for Webb. 24,000 votes still out there!
VA SEN [99.10% IN]
R- ALLEN 1,139,550 49.43%
D- WEBB 1,137,793 49.36%
That looks like an 1,800 vote lead for Allen.
Oops, Thanks there Kori.
I thought maybe I hadn't done enough math lately

Here's the latest. I'll let someone else figure out who's in the lead this time.![]()
VA SEN [99.18% IN]
R- ALLEN 1,141,753 49.44%
D- WEBB 1,139,885 49.36%
Its weird that the media sites have diffrent numbers. Who is right?!?!?!
Where are you getting this information? I am watching live, and every source I have seen has Webb up by nearly 3,000.
CNN has Webb ahead 1,143,100 to 1,140,900
Fox is giving it to Webb with 100% reporting.
I'd go with the official state numbers until someone calls the state.
