During the Q&A session, Dana was asked about how long it would be before we would see Fedor in the octagon and who is first opponent would be, his response: "Near the end of 07 or beginning of 08, and his opponent will be whoever has the heavyweight le at the time, no need for a warmup fight for Fedor"

He was also asked about Wandy/Chuck, he responded by saying that this fight WILL be happening and it is the next fight for both of them , he is just having a difficult time negotiating it with both parties. Also, he said that the winner of Wandy/Chuck would most likely receive a le shot against the winner of Rampage/Hendo which by the way IS a unification bout and will be for both les. However, he also noted that this might be complicated due to the recent signing of Shogun and that he could possibly receive a le shot before the winner of Wandy/Chuck depending on how the negotiations for that fight go.

Also, Dana was asked about Chris Leben and said that his next fight will be against Mike Swick.

Someone asked Rich whether he would rather face Silva or Marquardt and he said Silva due to unfinished business. When asked what he would change about matching up with Silva next time, he had a funny reply: "Try to stay out of the clinch and try to avoid blocking his knees with my nose"

Roger Huerta said that he would like to fight Melvin Guillard soon, due to his NC with him earlier.

Dana said that there is no dislike for Nick Diaz, he actually said that he really wants him back as soon as his NSAC suspension is over.

Dana would rather Rashad win but says that o will most likely be fighting in the UFC for a while to come no matter what.

Who knows. I am sure it will be on a UFN card. Heath Herring is on his last fight of his contract (I think) and I would not be surprised if they finished him off that way.

Maybe herald in Josh Barnett.

Here's a kinda cool story. This morning at my bjj class we had Pete Spratt rolling with us! It wasn't a seminar or anything, he just showed up and participated in our class. It was definitely cooler than the time I saw him at Panda Express.

Right...because we should all believe everything Dana says! He's contradicted himself on several things over the last few weeks...

Silva fought Mark Hunt on 3 days notice...he fought Crocop when he was on fire...he'd never duck Chuck or anybody else IMO. It's probably a money thing. If he truly doesn't want the fight right now it's because he stated months ago that he wanted to take the rest of 2007 off. I doubt that's the case though since he's got stuff all over his personal website about fighting Chuck...

Wanderlei Silva responds via video posted on his website to the allegations that he turned down a fight with Chuck Liddell for UFC 76 in September.

In the video Wanderlei stated, "I never said that I wouldn't fight Chuck. I've wanted this fight for a long time"

The former Pride champion continued, "I received a contract with two options, I could fight in September or November. I have chosed to make this fight in November. I was the first to want this fight, but they kept avoiding this fight. Now there's a lot of people saying that I have ducked Chuck. This is not true"

According to Silva, the timing for the fight to take place in September did not work for him. He explained, "I am in a moment of transition in my life. I'm going to move to the U.S. in a few weeks. I'm going to live in the U.S. and there's a lot of things happening, and I'm not focused on training the way I want to be. I always fought at the time the promoters wanted. Sometimes I did things I should not have done, but this time I won't do that anymore."

Denying he ever turned down a fight with Chuck Liddell, Silva said, "I want to fight chuck in November and make a huge show, and make it the biggest show ever...I have no doubts it's the most important fight of my life. I know Chuck is a great name in the U.S., we'll do a great fight. I think I must be in my best shape, so I want this time to train better to be in my bets shape ever."

Wanderlei asserted, "This fight is on, if he Chuck doesn't hide behind this mess."

I suspect Dana did this on purpose. I really think he is far better at playing the media and the fans than people give him credit for. He knows what he is doing every step of the way.

Am I the only one that's noticed that Tim Sylvia is now 6'10" instead of 6'8" on the UFC 74 promos where they talk about Couture beating Tim? Did they really need to add 2" to Sylvia to make Couture's feat that much more impressive? Annoyingly lame...Sylvia is a HW turd whether he's 6'8" or 6'10"...
