What I think is even funnier about the criticisms of timvp's optimistic post is the assertions that his opinions are founded primarily on arrogance or a lack of reason.

I'm not concerned with the consistency of his opinions. I'm just amused by the aspersions cast upon the opinion offered in this thread -- not simple disagreements, but attacks on its fundamental underpinnings.

This thread is regarding my long range views of the team. I still think the Spurs are fine.

In game thoughts I only concentrate on the game at hand. If I wrote game thoughts with the big picture in mind, each game thoughts thread would be the same.

I agree... long range. One would like to see them playing a little bit better at this point, but who knows what kind of can they will pull out during the playoffs.
