for someone who loves to point out how the Rangers are the "worst franchise in pro sports history", why exactly are your standards so high?
This team isn't capable of winning a World Series this year. And guess what - they STILL wouldn't be capable of it even if they had Young/Gonzalez/Danks/Volquez. I expected progress, and that's what I'm getting. Obviously as this thing gets better, my expecations will get higher.
This team is one game under .500 playing with a glorified AAA roster. They've been the hottest team in baseball the past 2 weeks. You can't freaking enjoy one second of that?
They aren't that high. There is no worse team in sports in history than this franchise. They haven't won anything but one playoff game.
And for the record I am enjoying this very much. I freaking love this team, I just despise those who run it except for Nolan.

As far as a plan…it doesn't matter as long as JD and Hicks are involved.
I guess if you followed the Rangers as closely as you follow the Reds, Padres, & White Sox, you'd know where I got it from.

This team will be winning consistently by the All Star Break. There are some nice players on this team and Nolan will find the pitchers to keep...he's watching.
I know you guys think I am being unrealistic...and I merely suggest you guys take a look at the impact Nolan has had just by talking with other pitchers...impact on guys like Randy Johnson...or even Bobby Witt. Even some Astros from a couple of years back. They'll get it turned around...quicker than anyone thinks.
Baseball does more or less what Noan wants it to do...it's just that simple.
And anyone that thinks he's just sitting on his hands...isn't very familair with him.
