hey avery how about running a pick n roll with dirk and kidd/terry to actually make the defense work instead of isoing dirk on 1 ankle late in the game....oh ya and great inbounds plays there late
double teaming kobe at half court? damp is the slowest player on the floor so he cant hustle back from half court and get back into the play....double kobe when he has the ball on the wing and the floor isnt so spread out....this dumb coach keeps out doing himself

the floor was so spread when u double that far from the basket its sickening....its just inviting layups at the basket
your only defender at the rim is sent 40 ft from the basket to double team....how dumb is that

Nope, the defense is better. If you watch the games, it's obvious, and the stats back it up. Mavs defensive efficiency is better with Kidd. For every charge Devin draws, Kidd creates two turnovers.

And Dirk losing the ball on the drive late is inexcusable....Star players have to either :
a. Get a shot
b. set up a teamate for a shot

That doesn't mean he was a ty coach. I assume by "not getting it done" you mean win a le, right? Do you have to win a le to be considered a good coach?
From what I remember he won 50+ games every year with the Lakers. He's a good coach. He took a Rockets team with a losing record to the Finals.

Yeah, he came back after a week and a half from an injury that usually keeps people out 3-6 weeks because his team needs him, and he committed a turnover. So what?
I've seen the games. Your interior D is the worse I recall from a Mavs team since Avery took control of the team.

I looked at the stats and opponent turnovers are actually down. One of the real bizarre developments in looking at Kidd's impact and Harris' departure is that the "better floor general" Jason Kidd has hurt the offense, while the departure of the "best defensive point guard in the league" Devin Harris has helped our defense. In fact, the impact on the Mavs defense has been the single biggest change since the trade: The Mavs are giving up 1.7 fewer points per 100 possessions than they did before the trade. That's a very significant drop, and is nearly double the hit we took on the offensive side.
In terms of specifics, the Mavs have improved in practically every defensive category but turnovers: The opposition shoots worse, the Mavs allow fewer offensive rebounds, and are fouling less. The loss of Harris' taking charges certainly has had an impact on opponent turnovers, as the opposition commit over 2 fewer turnovers than they did before the trade.
the coach deciding to run an iso play for a player with 1-leg is just blame dumb.. he set him up to fail. hey avery how about running a pick n roll with dirk and terry/kidd that actually make the defense work and have to communicate and gives you more options offensively. with jet he can come of the screen dish to dirk or shoot the J. same goes with kidd and he can definetly get it to dirk or drive and kick out

Sure he is hurting but who isn't at this time, how does that excuse him dribblng the ball down his jersey down 1 and a chance to take the lead?
