I love those buy one get one free coupons. Used one the other day at Hearthstone Bakery and the wife and I both ate nice lunches for under $8 total. We didn't have to buy 2 drinks.![]()
I used to work for this guy at trade shows. One time a bunch of the dealers all went out to eat at a decent restaurant. The service was great The bill was passed around the table and everyone put their money and tip in. When it got to my boss, he pulled out his calculator and figured out what 15% of the total bill was. He put in his money for the meal but TOOK OUT everything over 15% of the total bill and put it in his pocket. At this point, everyone else was talking and not paying attention. I was in shock. My buddy saw the same thing. I could see him just laughing on the other side of the table.
Cheapest guy in the world.
do you all cut your finger nails straight or rounded?
I bite mine so they have a jagged cut.
Fingernails rounded. Used to cut toenails straight with a toenail clipper. Supposedly you do this to avoid ingrown toenails. But lost the clipper sometime ago so now use a fingernail clipper. Never had an ingrown toenail. So, I think this was probably some kind of myth started by the manufacturer so they could sell a separate product.
what an ass hole.
He'd also buy a newspaper from whatever city we were in. I'd always want to borrow the sports section. He never read it anyway. But that er would make me pay for the proportionate part of the paper that the sports section made up. Eventually, I'd make sure to buy a paper every morning and throw away everything but the sports and read it in front of him.
Another time, we were working out of town but I hadn't left yet. He called and wanted me to get a Dallas paper for him. I ended up buying one in Houston. But he only partially reimbursed me because I could have got it 50 cents cheaper in Dallas.
you know what i hate when people stand real close to me at the check out counter. i always move slow and make sudden movements or take my time unloading my basket
Ditto. Especially at the grocery store and I'm about to pay and they are already a foot behind me. I always make a point to go back through the line to look at the candy bar rack so they have to move. But then never buy any candy.
104 degrees. I've said this before, but it bears repeating: . This. . I'm moving to Alaska. Maybe Canada. Anybody else in?
Psyllium and raw broccoli work really well.
I just took an impressive dump.

I forgot where I got the recipes, but now I'm writing them down!
Oh, and I just put a gigantic meatloaf in the oven to have with smashed White Roses (my favorite tater) and green beans. Gonna try to make some gravy too![]()
