Sorry. I don’t consider the Arabian peninsula to be paradise. There’s a thing about supercars being abandoned there. It’s very bad if you miss a payment, because you are subject to theft charges, and living under Sharia law. Dudes just drive them out into the desert, dump them and flee the country.
Never been myself but know a few colleagues who work over there in banking and have a friend who is a Stewerdess for Emirates and they love it. If you have money Dubai is a great place to be for a few years. Clean, safe, great weather/beaches, shopping, restaurants etc. my understanding is most tourist hotels, private beach/social clubs aren’t as strict with regards to Sharia Law. As long as Davis isn’t out drunk holding his boyfriends hand in public he should be fine

Aldridge was a clearly better player than Murray. You can simply look at their stats, and see LMA comes out on top -- even without adjusting for era. That's true whether you take both of their careers or limit Aldridge to just his first seven seasons. STers are way too deep into the weeds with their memes.
That’s precisely the empty calories case in point about LMA. Tremendous stats, but mostly on Blazer teams that were at best perpetual first round cannon fodder.

It’s why I also distinguished Booker and Murray, who have made deep playoff runs.

No. He was better and more impactful. The stats bear that out. That he didn't carry the Blazers to a le means nothing. Murray isn't the best player on his team, and Booker was had two All-Stars with him. Aldridge was most hurt by folks overrating Lillard, whose reputation to fat and happy off unearned good will. Truth be told, there are tiers of stars, and some players can not be franchise player while still being great. Calling that "empty calories" is really reductive. Aldridge has really good impact stats. He wasn't a guy who hard great box score numbers while his team performed better when he was on the bench.

It'd be like calling Wemby overrated because the Spurs won the same number of games with him than before him. Some folks try to pull this, and it's obviously wrong. It's wrong here too.

Jamal Murray just signed a four year extension at max money. 4yr/208mm. Nuggets are really digging a hole for theirselves but he had all the leverage. He is a solid player but I’m really starting to see how good Jokic makes others around him versus how good the supporting cast of AG/MPJ/Murray actually are.

Also, Dejounte Murray’s recent extension has to be one of the best deals in the NBA by comparison.

AJ Griffith is reportedly ready to "leave basketball". He was excited for a fresh start since he was traded from the Hawks to the Rockets but it looks like all parties are ready to move on.

I don't understand why he would want to walk away. I'm sure it's depressing that he had a bad year and that his path to playing time looks difficult but he can draw a few more paychecks, especially from contenders looking for inexpensive reclamation projects. Must be nice to be able to walk away from a few extra millions.

There was some weirdness around him in his draft year. At ude? He fell probably further than he should have as a legacy. They’re usually pretty good bets to make it in the NBA. Maybe some mental health issues? Maybe Houston told him his year 4 option wouldn’t be picked up before the season? I’d still collect that year 3 check, though.

IIRC AJ Griffin and his dad, recent NBA coach Adrian Griffin, are hardcore, very vocal, and very off-putting Christians, like, "Going to a Beyonce concert is consorting with the devil" sorts of people.

This is obviously stupid, but I love that in this bizarro world of stupidity, Zach Collins refuses to give up his number to Lebron.

Spurs say "No", obviously - Sochan is untouchable.

Stupid as may seem, this shows teams would potentially trade their best player for Wemby (in the exception perhaps of Jokic and Giannis). And it’s still hasn’t settled after a year already that Spurs has him.

haha and that 26 FRP is doing a lot of heavy lifting here lol plus it would be worthless in this scenario with getting Wemby
