dak has looked good in preseason, but reg season is a completely different animal. preseason has minimal gameplanning, very vanilla schemes on both sides, etc.

There is no way. If Romo is healthy and plays every game, he's a top QB. If Parker is healthy and plays every game, he ruins his team.

Still...they were without Dez at 100%. And their backup QBs were beyond garbage. This season, they have upgrades at RB and WR with healthy Dez. And Dak so far looks much better than anything they threw out last year. Honestly, if they suck and can get another high pick, that's OK too.

this is where i'm at. i'd rather romo just sit the entire year to give dak experience and see if he's the real deal. if he's fools gold, we tank ourself to another top 5 pick.

It sucks because I was excited for Dak to come in next year or maybe even the following after studying the game a la Rogers. But like Trill said if Dak doesn't pan out I guess we can always draft a QB next year. The future is now.
If Dak does well, I'll be pissed if they let Romo jump back in to the 1 spot after he's healed.

Football is a young man's game. Romo's body has broken down and his athletic ability is not nearly what is was 5-6 years ago. It's probably time to transition to a new guy.
At least they had the good fortune to get prescott. It looks like he has a lot to offer. We're gonna find out sooner rather than later.
The Cowboy's offense is now young, talented, AND very athletic. Witten and free are the only old guys out there now.
