I agree w/ Timvp. There is so much back door politics going on. Between Suns making no sense, but Knight's agent being LMA's agent (thus securing Knight a solid deal in return for an audience with LMA & high praise after the meeting) to LA getting a re-do so they can save face and thus be willing to do business with his agent in the future.
It's so damn ridiculous and raises so many red flags about LMA and his mindset. Even if he ends up choosing SA.
I'm sure he knows where he's going already, taking meetings and hearing what others have to say is all part of the process. You only get to be a big shot once or twice in a career and at his age probably this will be it. He also knows that if he picks the Spurs this is the last time he will get to be a media as it will become nothing but business after this. Let him enjoy all of it and soak it all in.
The Spurs are not sitting idle right now, they've made phone calls to the players they're interested in. They probably approach Monroe and gave him a figure of what they were willing to spend on him if he wanted to wait and he didn't. I'm sure West has been called and a slew of others.. If things go south there are other plans involved.
