The Bucks also have shooters all over the court, while the Raptors only have 1 guy that has consistently shot well from 3 this season..
Kawhi has regressed, not the great defender we once knew(still good though), lots of iso ball, his teamates just stand and watch, tunel vision most of the time, looks slower, . People will put that on Nurse but Kawhi has to at least take half the blame if not more.
I noticed his defense has regressed too. I am not sure if it on ap ude or at ude. It appears he is intentionally saving his energy for offense to me. He is like a kid at Grandma’s house where he doesn’t have his parents on his case to play defense anymore. His group has the Raptors bent over and can do about anything they want to do

At this point i want to say no but if he fired his agent and genuinely wanted to be here i would let him come crawling back. Even then it would take a few games for me to start warming back up to him after the he pulled.

If it was made news that he wanted to come back to the Spurs, i would assume then that he finally grew a pair and stood up to his uncle and said that he doesn't care about his marketing agency or whatever. That he wants to make things right and come back to the Spurs, the organization that he started with, got better with, and won a championship with.
i'll be more than happy to have him back. he was originally ours. i'll just chalk it up to family as to why he left.

If Nephew would have ever given an interview like Anthony Davis did, a lot of drama could have been avoided, his reputation would have never taken a hit and his trade value would have been improved. And I wouldn't even have been mad if he said he didn't agree with the Spurs direction and wanted to go somewhere he could create his own legacy or whatever excuse he wanted to go with.

Seriously. difference between these 2 situations is night and day.
AD - coming from a losing organization, wants to win. Comes out and tells the public he is ready to move on. No secrets. No rehabbing in NY. No moments to where he can't meet with the Pelicans people. Even says he will suit up and play if not traded by deadline.
Kawhi - Comes from a winning organization. Playoffs every year. Contenders every year. And even Literally said publicly he wanted to be a Spurs lifer. But not 2 1/2 months later it is leaked he wants a trade. Spurs can't even meet with him 1 on 1 without his group interfering at least to find out what happened and why he wants to be traded. He hides out in NY. Can't even be with his team during the playoffs. THE PLAYOFFS! His own coach has a horrible tragedy when his wife passes away and cannot even show face during that moment. He never comes out publicly during this situation. Even to this day, no one clearly knows what the heck happened. Its absolutely baffling.
We do know what happened, uncle Dennis happened, took matters into his own hands and either agreed with Magic or J.West, we will all find out this summer which one. Judging by nephews unwillingness to play btb games either Magic or J.West told him to be extra careful this season and go to them 100% healthy and who gives a about the Raptors but thats just my speculation.
I just saw the davis press conference and came to post the same- what a difference a real agent makes! Even if Kawhi had answered "no, Im shutting down to recover and focus on my future and I dont want to distract the team" , people would have been pissed but the matter would have been settled then and there. There's no excuse for the way he (they) handled themselves.
Spurs org isnt perfect but even a organization like the pelicans got more respect from davis than the spurs from kawhi, who took him as a 15th pick and made him a finals mvp.
AD is a lying coward with a better marketing team. Citing you want a more competent franchise then asking for NY or LAL makes you a liar. Just say you want to build your brand in a big market; don’t be a coward
But Kawhi has always been a mute, the situation changed but he's always been the same.
