its not rose colored glasses. it's the cons ution. the first amendment prevents government from limiting free speech. it does nothing to prevent private actors from limiting free speech. its not my theory its established cons utional law. private actors can limit free speech as much as their heart desires, and its not a first amendment issue.

it shields them from liability for comments made by users. so if somebody posts kiddie porn and legitimate death threats on twitter, twitter itself wouldn't be criminalized for that content.

it says nothing about twitter being liable or not liable for violating other users' first amendment rights. whether 230 is there or isnt there, twitter is still a private actor and not the government, and therefore is impossible for twitter to violate a user's first amendment rights.
