He's done, imo. But this thread may cease to exist after the New Year if he isn't.

I've accepted he'll be back next year.

I truly respect Mack for this position. He doesn't have to honor the scholarship, but Texas has the money and it sends a message to kids that no matter what happens Texas will be behind you. I hope the next coach at Texas follows suit.
Hope this dude is called for a position on the new staff. Monster recruiter:

Ed Orgeron "outraged" didn't receive USC job & resigns
The article did say he'd seek a second opinion, but it didn't sound like his current diagnosis would allow him to play again.
I mean, who wants to fu** with spinal cord injury?
I second this. I have always thought that he was one of if not the best recruiter in the country. This is the kind of guy the horns need to re-energize the recruiting base.
Yeah but Orgeron turned down a raise and assistant HC le. He's looking for a HC job.
Huskies will hire him....
Per Inside Texas, UT has been in contact with JUCO DE Terry Ayeni of the New Mexico Military Ins ute recently.

#WVU's Oliver Luck to issue statement this afternoon on state of football program. Disappointed, but no changes per MitchVingle.
Meltdown time! Bama fans included:

I suppose killing someone over a loss would classify as a meltdown.
Definitely. When I first read about this, I thought of all the people who keep giving reasons why Saban wouldn't come to Texas.
I'm thinking, "well, we don't go all 'Hunger Games' on each other when we lose a football game."
Texas is "dream job" for Gus Malzahn, per Sports Illustrated:

I'd be stupid to fire Holgorson after just a few seasons
After losing to Kansas and then Iowa State (after losing a 24 point lead), I figured he'd be fired.
But his buyout is ridiculous is at $11.3 million, so I now get why he's being retained.
