If my wife got fat I would encourage her to exercise and eat less fast foods. Ive never been fat either so I have no idea what it is like but I am pretty slender.
My thinking is this. I, for one, do agree partially to the whole overweight thing. I've never really gone out and/or was interested in a guy who's overweight or doesn't dress good (at least what I think is good) or one who's a little on the "nerdy side" etc etc. However, I'm 22 years old. I'd like to believe that once I actually get married to someone, these superficial expectations would change. You marry someone because you like the person they are inside....not just because they're hot or whatever. And once you get married, their appearance can and will change over time........however, as long as who they are inside doesn't change and as long as they still remind you of the same person you met and fell in love with...then it should be ok. That's called unconditional love, SWC.

I think I'm guilty of being biased against fat people. I couldn't see myself marrying a fat guy... although anything can happen when you fall hard for someone.
BUT... if my husband BECAME fat, it wouldn't be reason for divorce, if I still felt the same love for him. I also wouldn't ridicule him.

I had a friend who was dating a really y girl, (when they were friends, she wouldn't act that way). They dated, and she started acting really y and annoying, and he STILL married her.
