@ EricNahlin: Tons of good feedback from recruits who visited Austin yesterday. Florida TE, Devonaire Clarington, rated the visit a 10.
@ EricNahlin: I guess you could say Charlie Strong knows defense. New team #4, old team with his players is #6. http://t.co/8TTVbyxOgh
Incredible stat! Check the photo in link.

Some notes from Inside Texas...
-LB Cecil Cherry of Lakeland, FL was telling those around him over the weekend that he will be coming to Texas. They did remind everyone to remember how excited these kids get on their official visits and they can get caught up in the moment, but the chances of flipping him from Tennessee are now realistic.
-ATH Tim Irvin of Palmetto Bay, FL is now leaning towards Texas. "About 70%" according to the source.

Jason Sehorn had some nice things to say about Coach Strong today on ESPN:
“That (video of the postgame celebration) gives me goosebumps because I know what he went through in trying to change the culture the first month that he was there,” Sehorn said. “And we talked about it, is he going to have the time to change the culture at Texas to be what he needs it to be? Are they going to allow him to lose to do this? And they had to struggle this year by suspending 12 players."
“But he had to weed out some of the people that aren’t buying in. That there, what you saw, says the kids that are in the program buy in. They bought,” Sehorn said. “The fact that they are still competing … because they’re not a good team right now. I mean, at quarterback they’re challenged, they’ve got a pretty solid defense. But they’re not an elite team. And they went up against West Virginia and manhandled them because you get the sense these young men are buying into the program that he’s trying to build, which has to be a positive for the alumni and everybody else around. Just give this guy the time that he needs and he’ll turn it around.”
“He has an idea of what he wants that program to be, Aad when he got there, he went about enacting it,” Sehorn said. “He had to construct it, and it was tough. When you suspend 12 players and kick a bunch off, that’s not easy to do, especially when you’re not playing well. It’s very difficult to come into a situation and do that. But I think he just realized the only way to get us where we need to be is to go rock bottom. And for Texas, trying to get bowl eligible their last two games is rock bottom. And they don’t want to be there for very long. But I don’t think they were ever going to get back to where they were, without going there first."
“To his credit, he’s doing it his way,” Sehorn said. “And ultimately, if you lose your job, all you want to be able to say is ‘I did the best that I could do. And my way of doing it is this way. And if we’re going to be successful, it’s like this.’ And the kids are buying in.”
Update on LB Cecil Cherry of Lakeland, FL (24/7). Turns out Cherry's brother played with OL Desmond Harrison at Contra Costa CC in San Pablo, CA, so they've known each other for some time. He mentioned having Harrison and his "brother" (DT Chris Nelson) at Texas gives them an advantage over Tennessee. He's recently followed a ton of Texas people on his Twtter as well:
“Coach Strong spoke the truth,” Cherry said. “I had a wonderful time. There’s opportunity there. Coach Strong doesn’t talk about it. He shows you. I had a great time. It was a live atmosphere.”
“I’m still with the Vols,” Cherry said.
“I’m not sure (if I will sign with Tennessee),” Cherry said. “I’m not going to speak on that. I’m going through the (recruiting) process.”
“The town (Austin) is beautiful,” Cherry said. “I had a wonderful time and enjoyed it.”
“It was fun,” Cherry said of the game. “They have a good atmosphere. I had a great time.”
“All of them (recruits from Florida) loved it,” Cherry said.

OrangeBloods mentioned Harrison was telling people he is planning on redshirting and returning for 2015.

Line for the Oklahoma State game opened with the Cowboys as the 1 point favorite, but Texas is now a 2 point favorite.
Update on ATH Tim Irvin of Palmetto Bay, FL (24/7):
“It was nice,” Irvin said. “The coaches showed a lot of love.”
“He’s an awesome coach,” Irvin said. “He wants me out there and said I could have an impact like Teddy Bridgewater had for him when he was at Louisville. He said I can be like that. He said he can make me better on and off the field. It was an inspiring speech. I have a big decision coming up.”
“Everyone is in good shape,” Irvin said. “I’m just open.”
“They have a nice campus and facilities,” Irvin said of Texas. “I thought the whole place was great. I took a whole school tour.”
“Coach Strong said it wasn’t a surprise because they had confidence they would win,” Irvin said.
Oklahoma State game will be at 6:30 p.m. on FOX.
Saturday forecast is freezing temperatures in Stillwater.
Quotes from the Boyd brothers after the West Virginia game (Inside Texas):
"You were right," said Kris. "Diggs was all over White. Even when they caught the ball, they were getting popped. The defense was relentless. Those dudes were popping."
"Speechless," said Kris. "Me and DeMarco were talking about it. Every defensive stand, the crowd got up. I was hype."
"Heck yeah!! What an experience."
"People and recruits need to give Strong a chance," said DeMarco. "I loved the game, the atmosphere, and Austin overall. Texas has so much to offer."
"Those boys were hype," DeMarco said. "But you have to be to play for Strong."
Oh man. Maybe Tech can pull off the upset.
lol
Northwestern (FL.) DB's USF commit Khalid McGee and Georgia commit DeAndre Baker.
Some quotes from S Khalid McGee of Northwestern (FL.), per 24/7.
"I was excited when Texas offered," he said. "I looked at Texas' depth chart and looked into visiting. I'm going to take a visit on December 16th to Texas and January 16th I'll be going to USF. I'm going to take more, I'm just looking at what schools I will visit. It'll probably go to Rutgers and West Virginia too."
"I think me and Deandre (Baker) will play college ball together, we played Optimist (Pop Werner) together and should play in college together too."
Too bad that's the hand sign for Miami Northwestern and not Texas.
