I agree. The rolling eyes/smirking thing really really turns people off. I tried to like him in this debate and I couldn't. He got in a few good zingers. But at one point I thought he was going crazy in front of our eyes.

I don't think he did horribly or anything, but I don't think he did enough to sway many people his direction.

From what I'm hearing/reading it sounds like he probably would have won the debate but I'll bet money that the polls come in favoring Obama because people react to those images more than some zinger. Body language is so huge in communicating that it just destroys him with the split screen TV images.

You would think someone in his campaign would tell McCain to stop these kind of expressions (and the creepy used car salesman grin). He doesn't look presidential doing idiotic like that and it takes away from whatever message he's trying to convey. You would think after 2 debates where everyone is saying you look like a condescending, grumpy old man that McCain would have the sense to tone it down a notch.

I heard something similiar to what you said on the radio. Saying that Obama comes off alot better on the television verses over the radio with his calm misdemeanor.

Didn't they say that works with the general population too, with more democrats than repubs? So if that works with the numbers then, and with that big difference, the numbers are likely going to balance out to nearly the same lead Obama had before this debate.
