damn vladdy striaght up owned us today. Oh well. Only 4.5 games back with alot of baseball left. Last time we chased a divsion leader till the end was in 2002.
CJ Wilson vs Jered Weaver tomorrow. Solid pitching matchup to end the series. That was the pairing on May 18th. Both pitchers got dominated.

Yes, but he always destroyed the Rangers. Didn't he have something like a 40-50 game hit streak against us? Vlad was hurt almost all of last year so you can't really compare this season's stats to 2009.
Well apparently the Rangers acquired Bengie Molina via trading away Chris Ray and somebody else.
I'm not really sure what he's gonna bring besides a lot of grounding into DP's and web gems for the other team

I think the Rangers consider themselves real contenders and needed a game caller with playoff experience. Right now they have MaxRam, practically an MLB rookie cus he has only been up intermittently and as a backup, and Matt Treanor who is older but still not much better or experienced.
To me this signals that they want a veteran to guide the pitching staff. They aren't losing much in terms of numbers vs. Treanor or Ramirez, so why not have someone with some stretch run savvy?
Who needs Roy Oswalt? We've got arguably the best bullpen in the league, and one of the best lineups as well. Keep it up, boys..keep it up.
Chris has been great for us this season, but i like the trade. Molina can hit better than any catcher on the current roster and we need a C who can control the game come playoff time. Molina will do good things with our young bullpen.
All they need now is one solid to very good starter, and maybe one hitter, and then Im ready to get goin...
