You say it because we lost?

Then I guess Dunga, Capello, Lippi can't run teams either.
Brazil didn't lose like we lost. Jesus, Maradona is the only person in the World that can make a 4-0 absolute drubbing look like an honorable exit in the eyes of his countrymen. Give me a ing break!

Give props to the players, who gave it all they had, and in that sense Maradona has to be given credit as well, but it just isn't enough when you have absolutely no tactic, no organization and no defense.

That must have REALLY sucked yesterday.
It was the worst loss I've ever experienced in sports. Nothing will likely come close, unless the Raptors happen to be up by 2 in Game 7 of the finals, and lose on a half-court 3 pointer.

Germany has scored 4 goals in three different games. Jesus

I'm happy Ghana was one of the few teams that didn't get cream-filled by Gemany.
    you have Ghanian roots?

Well, then he'll be just like every other Argie coach except for Menotti or Bilardo. So yeah, we probably will.
Your team just got ing decimated, and you don't think we should be looking for something better than Maradona and his "pongale bolaaa!!" bull !??

Yeah, I'm first-generation Canadian. Parents moved here 2 years before I was born after working in Nigeria for a few years.

I think Brazil lost just as bad. They choked a game away by completely losing composure.

Argentina didn't choke, they just weren't prepared to play a game against a German side that was that locked in. Germany showed against Serbia that they can run cold, buy today they were hot as can be. The early goal put Arg in a hole and they didn't capitalize on the chances to equalize and got hit with the 68th or whatever min counter. The last two goals were because Arg was demoralized from the 2nd one and lost all focus. I'm disappointed Messi couldn't find a groove in the WC, he's one of my favorite players in the world if not the favorite and I wanted him to have a monster tourney.

If we get past Paraguay today we're gonna need to be really zoned in for that semi. That team is very talented and can light it up, we'll need another stifling performance like the Euro 2008 final when we beat them. Gonna be interesting.

How can't you be happy? They play beautiful Futbol, and have been throughout the tournament, with the exception of the game against Serbia...

    anyways ..

    It's ok Argentines...

Todos tenemos un padre, el de voz se llama Alemania

I think Argentina was overhyped.. Germany was clearly the better team, and I also think it's kind of pathetic to blame the loss on Maradona...

You know I don't know why its so difficult to understand. Football is a TEAM sport and Argentina was a group of individuals, plain and simple. Not a semblance of a strategy. If we keep this up we're going anywhere.

Why? he's the coach. He's in charge of building team chemistry and tactics, which were absolutely non existant this world cup. We completely relied on our stars to do something by themselves. There was absolutely no team game. Yes you can blame Maradona, and you should.

Oh he agrees with that, but he's blaming Maradona for that. CLEARLY it's Maradona who's at fault for Germany having the better team.

Not on paper they don't. They are the better team tough. TEAM being the key word. So tell me exactly who is in charge of building team strategy? Its not ing Messi. Its the coach.

Say what you will, but I'd take 2006 team over this team any day of the week and twice on sunday. Pekerman is miles better than Maradona.

So let me get this straight, you think if Pekerman was coaching this team... Argentina would've won?

    Ok keep your excuse
Its not an excuse. There is no excuse. I may not like it, but Maradona is our coach. Part of our team. We lost because we were outclassed as a team today.
