It appears from all my friends posts on fb that I need to seriously watch this show.
I suggest making a new thread for those who have read the book and wanna discuss that...if you have only followed the show you wouldn't want to know the that happens

The reason Catlyn releases Jaime in the books is because she gets word that Bran and Rickon are dead. At that point she realizes she's running out of family members and doesn't give a about anything except getting her daughters back.
Doesn't really make sense for the Wights to not kill Sam, you can only presume that the white walker on the horse wasn't actually looking at Sam, and he went unnoticed.
I just assumed it was because zombie horseman knew Sam was worthless and was no threat.
Haven gotten further into 3rd book, I'm super excited to see a lot of these new characters in the next season. The actor playing Jamie is going to have a field day with his awesome dialogue.
So anyone else wonder what the le "Song of Ice and Fire" implies? I wonder if Dany marries Jon or something, hence the ice & fire. Or maybe just the fact that winter eventually comes, and Dany shows up with her dragons to up.
Dragons vs the Night's Watch?
Who's got links to the audiobooks for a homie?
No. But fire does make short work of the white walkers.
Just in case people don't know, white walkers and wights are different things. White walker: guy on horse. Wight: the zombies around him/the thing John killed.
oops, sorry. either way fire takes care of em both.
Season 3 is going to be awesome. So many more big events in this one. Can you say RW? I hope we don't have to wait until next April to start tho![]()
two seasons worth of storm of swords!
Season 1 was >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Season 2.
Can't wait for next season though.
I liked the first book slightly more as well.
I thought season two was awesome but suffered from having too many characters and storylines. They ended up cutting out keys scenes and/or adding new scenes to help out new viewers with the fast paced storyline.
I wonder if they're going to split up the third book into two seasons because a ton of stuff happens in A Storm of Swords.
After watching the episode again, the reason she let him go was because Robb wasn't around and there was an increasing number of North men that wanted Jaime dead. Brienne explained that he probably wouldn't last the night, and if one of the Karstarks tried to murder him, would anyone really try to defend the Kingslayer? Catlyn realized trading Jaime for her daughters was a better deal than murdering him, losing their most important hostage for nothing. There's a little different reasoning in the book, but the end result is the same.
Quote from co-creator David Benioff
Benioff stated that going forward the T.V. show would have to divert from the one book = one season formula. The third book is just too big to be contained in ten episodes. Either two seasons or a season + an abbreviated half season would be needed to do the lengthy book justice. Benioff confided that his entire mission when taking on the television adaptation was to get to the third book’s climatic R.W. segment--
I cut it off there as to not spoil the non-book readers.
half way through book 3
danny is pissing me off. I bet she would be a very good ruler as far as citizens being happy, but gd she is a power hungry biyatch.
brb nice to meet you, now bow before me
brb please give me this or that....or I will rape you with my dragons
brb i have dragons
brb jorah you have saved my life numerous times but gfy for creepin on me after i tease
Season 2 could have been completed in 1 episode.
Daneyrs becomes more and more unnecessary and useless as thestory goes on.
The entire saga would be better served completely taking her storyline out. Grrm will take the Danerys debacle to his grave, IMO, and the fans will end up pissed. He should have had her arrive in Westeros by end of book 3 at the latest.
You cant have a character completely tangential and unnecessary for fifteen freaking years, it reeks of poor writing.
I thought it was kind of lame how (I guess due to budget constraints) they never really showed The Fist of The First Men, where the night's watch was camping formany episodes.
I think this is the main reason they showed that stupid scene with Sam, and his brothers wandering around getting surprised by the white Walkers
If I had no idea about the books, how would the viewer actually understand what the white Walkers were actually charging towards?
The part with Sam getting spared is an unnecessary deviation. And the chapter in the book where the nights watch is ambushed in the dark was awesome, my only guess is they had to dumb it down for money reasons
It's like everytime I read/listen to danny chapter it could be one of any of the 100 pov chapters of hers and it's just the same .
If she didn't have three dragons that I assume are eventually going to go boss wild on the entire westeros, I wouldn't invest any interest. GRRM better give us a payoff with the dragons. Tyrion better ride one of those es into Castle Black and jack a white walker.
brb dragons make it to westeros but soon die of dysentery before doing anything.
Game Of Thrones @GameOfThrones
#GameofThrones Season 3 will start production in early July. Locations include Belfast, Northern Ireland, Croatia, Iceland and Morocco.
Bout damn, time
Someone link that YouTube video of those two nerds singing and asking grrm to start writing faster
About time?
The second season jusr wrapped up.
I'm surprised they're actually going to start filming this early. They usually take their time with filming. Probably has to do with the kids on the show.
