any news about what about his contract situation? AFAIK he is signed with Partizan till summer 2015. is there a drop out/buy out clause?
and what could be the deal with the Spurs when they manage (and likely finance) all the medical treatment and rehab?
Spurs always foot the bill for medical issues with draft picks, even guys who never play for them like Giricek and Javtokas.

He had the surgery July 2nd and he's mobile enough to do Cardio and shooting? Is it just me, or is that massively ahead of schedule? Kobe Bryant had his April 13, and was reported to be doing Cardio with an anti-gravity treadmill on 19 Aug:

Not sure how these 2 players can be compared since both had completely different injuries...

With Spurs doing the surgery and the rehab, they will be the one in charge to decide Bertans return timetable which is a good thing. Partizan will be tempted to have Bertans coming back as quickly as possible to help them to win games next season while Spurs only interest is Bertans' long term health. Spurs will surely be very careful and take one or two extra months before clearing him to play with Partizan to be sure he is 100% healthy and has no specific risks of re-injuring his knee.

Interesting to see that the Spurs have an anti-gravity treadmill. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.

His bro is only 6'4-6'5 (Davis is 6'10) and older than Davis so there is less potential there.

This pic is showing Davis a little thicker and more muscular than I remember him being.

He's clearly been working out the upper body while he was rehabbing, compare to 2 months ago (Ace3G posted this image on 18/07/2013:

The kid has something resembling muscles in his shoulders and arms, not just bony bits...

I watched that game. I saw a guy named Bertans, but I didn't think it was him. I thought he wasn't supposed to be playing until next spring? If it was him, he looked great.

It was a different Bertans. Ours is Spurs property, is still recovering from ACL surgery and as you say, not expected back til early next year.

    WHAT!

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...ng-camp/page/5

Davis Bertans, the No. 42 pick of the 2011 NBA draft who has yet to play in the NBA, was the leading scorer for Bilbao. Philly will surely be facing tougher players once regular-season action begins.
